Nice Pad

By:

I have 2 Therm-a-Rests and one foam pad. Typically I will pack in a Therm-a-Rest and the foam pad. With this baby, I am twice as comfortable. It packs up to the size of a one of those tall beer cans, and keeps me off the ground. I am 6'3", 200 lbs and neither my hips nor my shoulders touch the ground on this thing. For 1/2 to 1/3 the price and super-compact packing, you can get a pad that truly is comfortable.

Cheap, lite, perfect.

First off, I own 2 Sierra Designs Mats, and a foam ground pad. All these don’t add up too the 2 1/2in of air comfort. It’s just a little wobbly because of the mummy design.

Best pad so far!

By:

My wife and I hike and it seems every year we try a different pad as it is a hip problem (always get sore) for her. She says we've found our pad! She’s totally happy now. As for me, I have to blow it up for her. It would be nice if it were self inflating.

good nights sleep

Lightweight, compact, appears to be rugged, exactly what you want when you have to carry your bed. I'm phasing out the self-inflators, we'll all sleep better. Now if only my sons will let me share the tent...Zzzzzzz.

Insulmat Max Compact Sleeping Pad

By:
August 16, 2004

The Insulmat Max Compact Sleeping Pad is so small, light, and comfortable to sleep on. The two fit my MSR Zoid 2 like they were designed for one another. I highly reccomend it for all but winter camping.
Backcountry, good people and a good company to deal with too!

InsulMat Max-Compact Sleeping Pad

By:

This has been a great pad! It has an excellent combination of cushioning, light weight, and reasonable price. It worked well on a backpacking trip to the Grand Canyon last month. Just make sure you are careful to remove all sharp objects from underneath your sleeping area, to avoid puncturing the pad.
