Does this mattress blow up like some others or is it solid?

this is going to be like most all other sleeping pads where it is self inflating and you have a mouth valve to blow it up. The Thermo loft is not going to be located directly at the mouth piece so it doesn't get damp and mold.

Overall I'm really pleased with this pad, but I only gave it 4/5 stars because the "sticky" S-print is really not sticky at all, and I hate false advertising.
The bumper-like tubes on the sides do help you stay on the pad, but only if you're sleeping on your back or front...you can still roll right off on your side. That being said, it is thick & soft enough for me to sleep on my side.
I've only had the chance to try it on a cold, poorly insulated floor in my unheated house, but on this pad in a 30 degree bag I was getting HOT (I had previously been freezing on my couch under blankets).
