Petzl Snowscopic Axe with Trekking Pole - 2007

The Petzl Snowscopic Pole Axe is a lightweight adjustable touring pole and ice axe in one, ideal for long glacier tours or trekking on snow and ice. The top half is an axe with a 4 mm steel pick and adze. The pick is sturdy to make self-arresting easy. The chiseled adze is wide to provide support while walking and aid in cutting steps. The pole bottom is fitted with a small snow basket and extends to provide balance and stability. The durable carbide tip is replaceable if it ever wears out.
