Bottom Line: Lightweight dry bags for those soggy backpacking trips.
Picked some of these bags to use on a Kayaking trip in Baja. I'm very impressed to say the least. The cost was right and the quality was second to none. The first time out I beat on these bags with sand and Saltwater for 10 days straight, and the only thing that comes to mind is DRY AS A BONE. The best part is the little valve on the bottom that lets you choose to compress or inflate depending on your application. Bottom line, Solid piece of gear I would recommend to anyone that needs their goodies to be dry when they need them.
It is a dry bag. There really isn't much you can say about them. I used it for adventure racing and it kept my gear dry. I love the air release valve - I wouldn't buy a bag without one. I bought the 5 liter and it fit my extra set of clothes, some TP, and a few Cliff bars and fit inside my pack without a problem.
These things are wonderful. Nice and light weight, and made from a good sturdy fabric. I absolutely love the valves, they make it great when you need to compress and stuff into a little place in your pack or for going on the river just blow in a little air.
The WXtex Pneumo dry bags are the best deal for the money!!! I have used these bags for the past three years and have not had one fail yet. I have three young children, and my wife and I take them for three and four-day floats in our canoes. As you can guess, the gear must stay dry with the comfort of the kids in mind. We also take our 2 Labrador retrievers and they tend to want to ride on the gear. With all of the wear and tear these bags have to endure they have held up to the challenge. I recommend these bags to anyone who is thinking of buying dry bags. We use them for hiking, boating, climbing, hunting, and in our motorcycle saddle bags. Great product!!!!
This dry bag worked very well. I originally ordered the 5L bag but found out soon after receiving it that it was too small. So, I called and said I needed a larger size bag. Right away they checked the stock and recommended I order the 15L before sending the 5L back in order to make sure that I get the other bag while it was still in stock. Sure enough I got the new bag in time for my Boundary Waters trip in N. Minnesota. Thanks!
While rafting I got caught in a hydraulic which flipped my boat, and in the process dumped my pack into the river, luckily I had my essentials (change of clothes and sleeping bag) in my dry bag. What I really liked is the "burp" valve that allows the contents to both remain dry and compressed. Makes it easy to fit in your pack. Great product.
I use a set of these bags as luggage on a small motorcycle. A 5-liter bag goes each side of the tank, in front of my knees; a 25-liter bag hangs on each side of the passenger seat. They're light, waterproof, and compressible so they don't stick out much. They're also bright orange for visibility. They work great, but don't overload them; the roll-down tops can open up if not rolled carefully with at least three turns. I'm satisfied. Versatile, waterproof packs for my bike at a quarter of the cost of motorcycle luggage.
For the river, These are the best! A dry bag and compression sack combined. Stuck one into my daypack too. The rain didn't get to any of the stuff. I'm impressed. Thanks much guys.
The dry bags were a welcome addition to our adventure. The compression feature really was a bonus in packing when relocating the campsite on a daily basis. Everything remained dry! I highly recommend them and plan on acquiring a few extra. They are very durable and endured the daily stress of several portages. Great product.
