Patagonia's Eco-Wash merino wool is totally chlorine free, which is better for the environment and results in softer, more durable fibers. The kangaroo pocket in front means you'll have a place to put your hands when you wear this top out like a sweater (and you will), while the crossed-over collar keeps your neck toasty when you have the hood down.

My favorite go-to!

I absolutely love this hoody. It is incredibly warm for a lighter weight garment. I wore this every day on my trip in Aspen as I bummed around town and it did not retain even the slightest odor. It is a very attractive fit and is one of my favorite go-to tops for every day warmth or a night on the town. If you're concerned about the pricing, the wear you get out of this hoody is well worth the money.

Body hug fit

This is truly a gorgeous garment, you can feel the warmth. I think it runs on the small side (not an outer garment fit) but the length is great for talls. No detectable itch. The men need their own version of this. $$$ but made in USA

This got a great review from Backpacker, so I bought this wool hoody for my wife. It is wonderful. It fits well and suits almost any temperature condition in which you might wear a long sleeve. It is breathable and has all the wonderful benefits of wool. This one is a winner, good luck finding a men's version.
