If you're looking for an insulated, wind- and water-resistant jacket that's lightweight and earth-friendly, check out Patagonia Women's Micro Puff Hooded Jacket. The recycled polyester shell works to block the elements, and the lightweight, compressible insulation won't clump or separate over time. Quilted side panels add a feminine shape to the Micro Puff Hooded Jacket, while articulated elbows increase your range of motion. Pull up the hood on cold, windy winter days, and use the Micro Puff Hooded Jacket's included stuff sack to pack this puppy in your backpack when the sun comes out.
Bottom Line: Patagonia's Micro Puff Hooded Jacket takes you one step closer to winter warmth.
I can't think of anything I dislike about this jacket! My biggest decision when it came down to it was whether I was a girl who liked jackets with hoods. Before this jacket, I wasn't. Now? This is an awesome hood, and the jacket itself is like magicI've worn it under my Patagonia Storm jacket and I've worn it over my Storm jacket when stopped on a break. It fit both ways, keeping me the right degree of warm, no worries. Magic. The stuff sack makes it handy as a cushion/pillow for traveling too. Nicely done.
I got this jacket to use as a belay jacket for Spring~fall season in Canadian Rockies. Surprisingly warm for this weight, and can be pretty small in the back. Since I bought, I always carry this for multi-pitch climb. Few downsides are, that sometimes hood made me annoyed cause it doesn't stay well on the helmet, and fabric is a bit fragile against the rock. Mine is full of duct tape patch already after few long route.
I'm 5'10" and I have a hard time finding a jacket that isn't too short...how long is the inseem on this jacket? And do you have any reccommendations for brands that normally fit longer lengths?
Super warm. I usually wear a medium in most things, but this is a small. Patagonia always fits large. Watch out - neck can be super tigh and constricting. Otherwise it's comfy.
I use this mostly under a shell for cold weather ski area skiing. The perfect winter layer. Also good on windy and cold dog walks at 10,500 feet! I am 5'2'' and 113 lbs and the small fit with plenty of room to layer under, over or wear alone. Perfect!
The Patagonia Women's Micro Puff Hooded Jacket is worth every penny. It's great for windy, moderately cold weather. You'll feel no wind and no weight either--it's so light! The fit is just right and I really like the blue color. And as always, this store gets your gear to you quickly.
I agree with all the praise. I'd gotten this on sale because it was Patagonia and because it was a great price. I was very pleasantly surprised at how warm and light it is. Shaped enough so you don't look like a marshmallow but as warm, if not more so, than much bigger puffers. Love this company, love this coat. Worth every dollar.
