Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket - Men's - 2006

The Patagonia Men's Micro Puff Jacket is a space heater for your core. Keeping your body's core insulated is the first step to staying warm and avoiding hypothermia. Your body will rob the warm blood that would otherwise go to fingers and toes to maintain a constant temperature within your torso where your vital organs are located. Cold winds, wet snow, and misty mountain weather will deplete your body of the heat that it generates. Wrapping your torso in the heat-hoarding Micro Puff will ensure that valuable heat is stored next to your body and will let your extremities enjoy added warmth. Patagonia stuffs a ton of insulation and protection into this barely-there insulator. The lightweight shell is treated for water-repellency and can stand on its own or be worn under your favorite shell. With an emphasis on packability, the Micro Puff is extremely compressible and comes in a stuff sack, so you can have it with you at all times.

Micro-puff is great

Just opened the box and stood out in the cold for an hour. Excellent warmth. Beware though. This does run large. I normally wear a large in all my clothing (I am 5'11") and the large was way to big. The medium fit perfect. Also there is a "rip stop" pattern printed on the jacket that I was not expecting. It looks good, but it can't be seen well in the pictures.

This jacket is awesome! Warm and light, it weighs next to nothing and looks great. Another quality item from Patagonia. It does run a little large, but if you like to layer underneath, you'll be fine.

I am really enjoying my Micro Puff jacket. The only thing that could be added would be some micro fleece in the front pockets. It’s nice and warm, worth having in the pack.

Micro Puff for theTrail

The Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket is the best light-\weight jacket I've ever purchased. I use it at -15F for snow machining as a base under a hardshell and stay warm and dry even at 60mph. The ONLY improvements I'd make to the product would be to include a two-way zipper and more color options for women. I bought the men's medium size and it fits me (5'9") perfectly.
