Patagonia Capilene Silkweight Boxers loose-fitting Patagonia boxers are sturdier than silk but just as sensual. Steer clear of tighty whities - boxer shorts are the way to go.
I am not a fan of boxer shorts, until now. Patagonia's silk weight tops are the best, and that material lends itself well to this application. I decided to try the boxers, and I am glad that I did. Other products have ridden-up under my pants, and/or given me a wedgie. The construction of these shorts prevents that (gusseted seat). The fly is also functional rather than problematic. Try a pair; the price is hefty, but you get what you pay for here.
I never liked boxers before trying these. Having an athletic build, boxer leg openings always tended to rise and bunch up. But these Patagonia boxers don't do this. I'm sure whether it's the cut compared to other brands or the silkweight material, or both, but they'll hang right.
Great silk weight boxers that don't irritate my skin. Light, soft, and that Capilene wicking property. So good that I bought more! These boxers are the way to go!
For the same reason I would not wear a cotton T-shirt for trail running or bike-polo, I now wear silkweight boxers. They are unbelievably comfortable, lightweight, breathe, and have a silky feel down below. Troops, it is time to ditch the cotton boxers and step up to comfort.
Don't buy these. Hung in the direct sun on a breezy day they take ALL day to dry. I bought the black ones and was amazed that i could wash my wool socks on the trail and have them dry before these boxers were dry. Also after like 2 days on the trail they begin to reek. Not the normal non-showered smell but of something much more awful.
I bought a pair of these a year ago upon the advice of a friend. Since then, I've replaced all my underwear with these. If you hike or live in warm weather/climates, you will love these.
I work in Iraq in the desert heat. I wear everything high tech and wicking, but I had difficulty finding briefs to go with pants, shirt and undershirt. These briefs are light, dry and perfect for very hot weather. I'm now on vacation in Florida and they're perfect there, too!
What can I say - these boxers are the best! They are great for hiking, camping, biking and out of door activity, even for sleeping. They are so comfortable I have replaced my other boxers with them! Try em you will love them.
My husband usually loves these boxers, but this pair was NOT as good. When looking at the label I realized that theses were made in Mexico rather than the US. That seems to make a difference as the waistband on these curls and the fabric is not as silky. One wonders if it was some kind of Patagonia experiment or something?
These are very light weight, great moisture wicking power for one day use ONLY. I'm a Pastry Chef, It gets very hot in the kitchen, you won't get sweety sack in these. But they do not dry on trail after being washed very fast. TWO Thumbs up.
I wear these boxers for hiking, rock climbing, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, tennis, etc. They're super comfortable. Say no to cotton. Capilene is the only way to go.
