The Outdoor Research Talon Gloves are durable, snow-shedding, all-mountain gloves featuring Gore WindStopper Softshell protection — a stretch-woven ripstop face with a fleece interior that offers excellent protection against wind, snow, spray and abrasion. The Suregrip palm and anatomical-curve, boxed construction will help you hang on to your stuff, not drop it in the snow. These gloves have the warmth and dexterity for snow and glacier travel where you need to hold poles, walking axes and other tools; but they make great snowballs too.

How do you know when gloves are good? When you don't know they're there.

I just got back from a spring break ski trip. Every day for five days, I wore the sleek and rugged Talons.

My hands stayed warm and dry the whole time -- and the gloves were thin enough to let me still operate my digital camera. "Group shot! yay!"

Only gripe is they can be a bit hard to put on... I guess the narrow hand opening means it keeps the snow out.
