Very Small

Look for another gaiter if you are going to be using large boots, the large gaiters are really MAXED out with my size 11's (US) Mountaineering boots. They perform at 5 stars or better with my light hikers/trail shoes.

It is water resistant not waterproof. Think schoeller/soft shell gaiter. Great for keeping out mud and snow, but full on rain I would go with a goretex gaiter.

I am a farmer and and avid hiker - I always have an issue with gaiters not fitting correctly for my stick ankles - these actually fit and keep the seed heads and annoying stickers out of my socks -what I have noticed is I went from the worlds most disgusting dirty socks to socks that look as if I just put them on in the morning.

It would be great to have a gaiter like this that would be good for rattlesnake protection as well - alas I have tried them all and none fit and all are too bulky -

Nice gaitor, well made and sturdy, but definitely runs small...I wear a size 8 shoe, which the size chart recommended a medium gaitor for. I ordered the small/med size and they barely fit around my light weight trail runner and around my ankle and shin. It works, but just barely. Highly recommend going up in size especially if you want to wear them on the outside of your pant leg or are using them with a heavier or higher cut boot. No room for ease here...
