Outdoor Research Enigma Jacket - Women's - 2008

With the Outdoor Research Women’s Enigma Softshell Jacket, Outdoor Research created a highly adaptable softshell for a wide variety of conditions and demands. The Enigma’s durable, waterproof/breathable Gore-Tex body, seam taping, and water-resistant zippers won’t let a drop of moisture seep in, but you won’t sweat up a storm inside your clothes either. Just adjust the hem-to-bicep-length Underarm zips to let some steam out when you’re skinning up a backcountry run or working up a sweat with your ice axe. The adjustable hood fits over your helmet, and the hem and cuffs adjust as well to keep that pesky breeze from sneaking in. If it really looks hideous outside, don’t let the subzero temps and 40mph gusts cramp your style—you can fit an insulating layer underneath the Enigma Jacket.

Bottom Line: No need to puzzle over what makes this jacket a must-have.
