Osprey Packs Transit Courier Bag - 1700 cu in

Stay organized with the Osprey Transit Courier Bag when you're heading to work, walking to class, or chasing a plane. Its foam-reinforced main compartment holds its shape and a padded internal sleeve holds a 17in laptop securely for quick, easy access. Two organizing pockets on the top flap and another for your water bottle keep your necessities handy. The Transit Courier Bag's removable waist-belt, in addition to the padded shoulder strap, increases comfort when you have to spend your whole day on your feet or on a bike.

Bottom Line: The Osprey Transit Bag makes your commute a bit more bearable.

zipper could be smoother

By:

Good bag. Used it everyday for two years. The only hangup is that the waterproofed zipper was pretty tight at the beginning, making getting in and out a little difficult. it eventually loosened up, but then the rubber/plastic coating started to deteriorate and break off. Zipper worked, but it looked ugly.

The strap is problematic

By:

While the bag itself can hold plenty in terms of volume and mass, the strap and shoulder pad are thin so you may feel the weight across your body.

These reservations aside, I like this bag at the price I paid.

How water/weatherproof is this bag?

I've had it in a pretty significant rain/snow, and it didn't show any signs of leaking. The fabric was pretty damp, and I wouldn't trust it to keep my stuff as dry as my timbuk2, but if it is actively being rained on for less than an hour, it should be fine.

Second one

By:
September 8, 2008

This is my second Transit bag (my daughter talked me out of my first one - it's still great after three years of heavy use). I like the bag's inner as much or better as my previous Transit but have a couple of gripes about the outside. 1) The shoulder buckle adjustment is not as good as previous and tends to get flipped up and released when it gets caught on something. 2) The topside exterior pockets are not as convenient as the old ones, I wish they had kept the double center top top as first produced and still added the upper end pockets.

Still, these are quibbles - the is hands down the best messenger-style bag I have ever seen!

Dude, your bag is BIG

By:
May 15, 2009

Yup, it is. How else would I be able to carry around my computer, cord, coffee mug, MP3 player and headphones, school books, extra layer, gloves, AND bike lock? Have had it for a little over a year now, and love it more every day. Cord is surprisingly comfortable if bag is not overpacked (a lot of weight is no problem, just high volume). Bag is completely waterproof, including zippers, and with this I don't ever need to worry about my laptop in the rain. Only gripes are thin(ish) strap, odd shoulder pad (must be placed perfectly), and the main zipper looks like it's bound to fail earlier than I want....

Nice bag

I like the bag a lot. It holds all my stuff. The only problem is that it tweaks my back when I am carrying it with a heavy load for a long time.

Way Cool Bag

I bought this Bag for my Older Brother who was just carrying his laptop and Cords around when he came over to my house to play Starcraft So I decided for his Birthday I would get him a Bag, So I got him this one and He actually looks normal now when he comes over, and he has more room for games than just Starcraft. It's amazing what a little Storage space can do.
