The Osprey Torque Transit Computer Bag is an urban assault bag for travelers and commuters who don't want to mess around. Sleek and to the point, the Torque uses a padded shoulder strap and includes an optional hipbelt for secureiyt when you have to hoof it for some mileage. A 15-inch suspended laptop sleeve protects your computer against drops, and a water-resistant main opening keeps your stuff dry inside when you're wet and grumbling outside. The Torque sports a Thermoformed back panel that sits comfortably against your body. Dedicated pockets for water bottles and cell phone on either side of the bag make for a hydrated, connected trip.
Bottom Line: The Osprey Torque Courier Bag puts the lock down on organization.
This is a great bag! Construction and materials are unsurpassed. My first Osprey product; I will be ordering the second within the next day or so. It is much bigger than anticipated, with a computer, there is still a good 6-8 inches of space left inside. If I had to complain about something it would be the padding. It doesnt have all that much padding between the computer and the ground, but I am very anal about my electronics. I am sure for most it would be fine. If worst came to worst you could cut a small strip of closed cell foam and put it at the bottom of the compartment. As long you dont drop it more than 8-10 feet it will be fine the way it is. I would buy it again, and highly recommend to a friend. (Pic: 14" notebook)
I had this bag less than a year before the handle started to Frey. I sent it back for repairs and the repair was terrible and sloppy. After I complained they offered to replace the bag if I sent it back. After waiting two weeks I get an e-mail stating that they are finally processing my replacement order but the color that I returned was no longer available even though they still list it on their website and have it here on this site. Very disappointing with the quality of the bag as well as the Guarantee since they are replacing the bag but not with the color that I purchased and that was one of the main reasons I purchased the bag in the first place.
I've had this thing for about 2 weeks now and I love it. Before I was carrying a laptop case and a backpack. Now I have consolidated everything into just this bag. It all fits great! The bag is also very comfortable. It sits very nicely on my shoulder and when I have it full, the waist belt comes in very handy. I carry a ~15 inch Dell laptop (with a battery that sticks out about an extra 1/2 inch). It fits in there perfect. Though as far as height goes, there is not much room to spare with the bigger battery. Did I mention that it is stylish? Overall, I would highly recommend this bag. Get it now! What are you waiting for?
I am new to the comuter side of thing but I got this bag about one month ago. I have no problems with it. It holds all of my school book along with a change of clothes for work, with enough room for my lunch. I got the smaller of the two and it is still very roomie. there have bean what I would consider some heavy rains here lately and While I was drenched nothing is my bag was even close to becoming damp. there are 3 outside pockets one is a zipper pouch and is big enough to hold my sunglasses, blackberry, and car keys with room to spair. the two side pockest can both hold a normal sized water bottle but only one of them has a cover flap. The inside is great, it has a devider for your laptop or in my case school books with a big center compartment to hold bike gear and a days change of clothes (jeens, undershirt, polo, bike shorts, t shirt, and a change of socks, and food for breakfast and lunch)at this point it is fairly full. (dont have a pic so I am just trying to give you a feal for what it can hold.) this is a very comfortable bag the sholder strap works great and the belt is nice to have when you want to get some speed. it comes with a phone holder but I found it kind of a small fit for my blackberry curve so I put my I pod in it and, so far has kept it dry and in reach.hope this helps
I've had this bag for over a year now and its still running strong. I take it daily to school or use it as a gym bag, and have also used it several times as a carry on while flying. Great interior pockets and such a tough bag that you can really stuff it full with no worries. Good buy.
It is what it says it is. If you're expecting a light-weight bag, look elsewhere. It's heavy, and does everything Osprey says it will. Durable and roomy, this bag can take a beating while protecting all the gear inside.
Excellent quality bag. Waterproof zipper is slightly hard to use, but comes with being a welded zipper. Tons of room (actually a little big for my taste), but very functional and very protective. My 13" Macbook doesn't slide at all, even with nothing in the spacious front compartment. A good buy.
