does this item come with a bladder?

Unfortunately, it does not. Osprey's website doesn't specify what size bladder will fit, but it looks like it would hold up to a 3L bladder (and it is only a 5.5L pack overall, so that might be taking up the majority of the space).

Holds much more than you'd think!

I bought this pack to take with me on a trip to Moab, UT. I used it for mountain biking and hiking. This bag turned out to be perfect--exactly what I've been searching for. This pack holds much more than what some of the reviews led me to believe. I carried the following items inside the bag while mountain bikine: (2) .5L water bottles, Patagonia Houdini jacket, North Face baselayer bottoms, Spot personal locator, a sandwich, apple, energy bar, camera, first aid kit, wallet, keys, cell phone, and lip balm. I could have easily fit a couple more small items if needed. The pack was the most comfortable pack I've ever worn.

I looked on the Osprey website. It gave the dimensions as 18X8X3. Not sure if that's the S/M or M/L
