Ortovox E-Motion 22 Backpack - 1342cu in - 2006

Back problems in the backcountry? Carry your gear in comfort with the Ortovox E-Motion 22 Backpack. Ortovox collaborated with the Munich Back Center to create a day-touring ski pack that carries your gear incredibly comfortably. The E-Motion Backpack's secret is the O-FLEX-FRAME, which is a 3-D back panel that's highly adjustable and extremely flexible to allow free movement and excellent support while you're ascending or skiing. This Ortovox backpack also has 1342cu inches of cargo space for your day's worth of gear and an avalanche pocket to holds your shovel and probe as you ski.

Bottom Line: Keep your back comfy by skiing with the Ortovox E-Motion 22 Backpack.

Nice Day Pack

By:
March 27, 2008

Really nice day pack. The flex frame provides a stable comfortable fit and the pack is small enough to be worn on the chair lift. The only part that could use improvement is the chest strap. It's a little thin. A wider more robust strap would dramatically improve this product.

Lightweight Pack

Great little day pack. Very lightweight & comfortable. It holds a small shovel, probe and minimal mount of gear. Only gripe is the ski straps are to small for any type of powder ski.

Excellent pack

By:

I've tried Osprey Switch packs - too heavy empty. Mountain Hardware Glisse Pack - ok, but not great, Life-Link Granite - too small. This pack fits the need. At 29 oz it can piggy back on a larger approach pack easily for day tripping from a base camp. For day use, it has all the room you need for skins, crampons, shovel, probe, emergency kit, scraper, knife, gob-stopper, 30m of rope + simple web gear, water, lunch, goggles, spare gloves. It carries skis best A-frame and serves as a nice day-pack for summer outings.

Nice bag!!

Probe and shovel both fit in the exterior pouch along with my medical kit. My shovel blade fits well in the larger pouch along with a thermal and water bottle. Fits waaaay nice on the back.

not a good buy

By:

I give this product a one star rating. Being advertised as a ski specific pack you would think that your avalanche equipment would fit in the compartments provided. My probe did not fit in the pocket with out the zipper being open. Great design if you get caught in an avalanche and you loose your safety equipment to an open pocket.
