Well I had 3 pairs of Oakley sunglasses. The first one was housed in and protected in a soft (?) case. So I ordered 2 metal sunglass cases which proved to be a total disaster. They were not BIG ENOUGH to house in the sunglasses so I threw them away and odered 2 soft cases which do the job just fine.
Like the other reviewers comments, If you have an expensive pair of sunglasses and you want to protect your investment, this is your case. It is as solid as you can get, inside is padded and lined with felt to protect your sunglasses. It feels like nothing short of an atomic bomb will damage your sunglasses once they are inside. I have the Oakley soft vaults too, which are the same price but they don't feel like they will protect as good as this, and what I like about this is that it is just a snap shut case, allowing easy access to my sunglasses without having to zip unzip like my other cases.
Solid as a rock. I use it in my car -- it perfectly fits the cup holder in my door, so my sunglasses are always available when I need 'em. There's no way to clip them to anything, though -- just a big, Tylenol-shaped case. :)
it's a good case. looks good too. and fits most of the glasses i own, even non-oakley brands. but may be a little pricy for a sunglass case, but after spending lots of money for the glasses, probably a good investment.
The Oakley Large Metal Vault Sunglass Case .I WANT TO ASK YOU ABOUT THIS CASE . I HAVE A XX METAL SUNGLASS(04-120). CAN I PUT MY SUNGLASS IN THIS CASE.
Solid and well built; the hinge has 4 rivets to each side, so I don't see it loosening up any time soon. It closes tightly without any gaps. Fits perfectly in my cup-holder. The exterior is aluminum and can take plenty of abuse, but you need to be a little careful replacing/removing your sunglasses from the case, as the metal exterior has the potential to scratch the lenses.
If you want your shades protected at all times when not in use, this is the way to go. Of course, the case is a bit bulky, but hey, short of a bullet, your investment is kept safe.
Really Resistant, good color, durable material and soft inside for your sunglasses. I am able to fit my iphone and shades to put into my gym bag. Spaaaascious!
I was very impressed with the help and service I received in solving my problem of a broken Metal Sunglasses Case. The only problem I have is the case I returned was much smaller and easy to pack. The Oakley Large Metal Case is just to large to pack. I'm sure it was something I did wrong when I contacted Oakley for the replacement case. If I can get the smaller Metal Vault Case it would be great.
