Suit up in the Oakley Men’s Infantry Jacket when you’re heading out on a mission to shred some gnar. With 10k waterproofing, 10,000g breathability, fully taped seams, wrist gaiters, and 3M Thinsulate insulation, this regular fit jacket boasts bomber protection from the elements. Wrap around core venting, a removable storm skirt and hood keep the Infantry Jacket versatile for whatever conditions you encounter. A pass window and dedicated goggle, phone, and media pockets carry all the essentials.
Bottom Line: Report for duty in the Oakley Men’s Infantry Jacket.
just got this jacket in the mail today from steepandcheep and am excited to bust it out this winter. the thinsulate is nice and low profile. comfortable enough to wear it around all day and not want to get out of it.
it fits really well in the shoulders and chest with a little room to move. I'm 6'1" 195 pounds and the large works for me.
can't give it 5 stars because i haven't had a chance to ski with it yet
Oakley always does a good job with their apparel. although their stuff is usually overpriced, it is of good quality. I really like the jacket, it looks nice on the slopes and kept me warm when i needed it. The magnets are really strong, sometimes too strong and they clasp the jacket together even when i want to leave it open and unzipped. I would definitely recommend this jacket.
How does the sleeve pass flasher pocket work? I just bought the coat, and I'm not sure how the snap on the pocket is supposed to snap onto another part...I thought maybe the pocket would snap to stay UP, so your lift ticket would be visible. If I put my lift ticket in the pocket, I have to lift off the velcro each time I ride the lift? Makes no sense. Any thoughts on this? Thanks peeps.
Not sure if anyone's still looking at this but I figured out a couple of ways to do it. They're not elegant, but they work:
1) Turn the arm pocket half inside out, unbutton the "shoulder strap" and button it to the button that is now inside the shoulder pocket.
2) button the shoulder strap to the button on the top of the arm pocket then pull the bottom of the arm pocket up through the loop that is created between the pocket and the shoulder strap.
What they really need is a button at the bottom of the shoulder pocket that could attach to a button on the shoulder strap when flipped up. I'm seriously considering adding this.
I grab one of these in M size, Vivid Blue. The jacket looks super cool!!! But be aware about the sizing: I have other (older models) of Oakley jackets in M size and this one is the smaller one. If fits me just fine, but there's no place for more than a long sleeve T-shirt and a tight vest OR (not and) my back protector I couldn't try it yet, but if you need more that these when temperatures drop down, you'll probably pick a larger size. I'm a 1,82m tall, 83Kgs. Anyone who has try it during 10°C days??? Opinions? Saludos!
I ordered a large and it's definitely big and baggy. I'm 6'0" 165lbs with an athletic build. My arms are long but the sleeves still go to just about the end of my fingers. The cuffs are adjustable and with gloves on, you would never notice. I actually prefer that in my snowboard jackets, no restriction of movement or binding. There's definitely extra fabric through the chest, more than I would ever need for layering. The fabric is a little stiffer than the fabric on some of my other coats, so it hides how big it is better. I probably would've exchanged it for the medium if I was looking to use it as an everyday jacket.
the sizing chart is the same regardless of how it fits, thats the reason why the fits are different...this is just regular fit so it will be kinda big, just enough so you can put layers under it ad have freedom of movment, if you want a more snug fit then order a size down
this jacket is the best. the fit is perfect and the craftsmanship is superb. it is nice and warm but still comfortable on warm wet days. I wore it when it was 40 out with just a t shirt and all the vents open and i felt just fine. the jacket feels substantial too, its ready for anything you throw at it. i also get a lot of comments on the jacket as well (i bought the camo one) people think it looks great and are pretty impressed by it.
I got this off tramdock and was so excited. Went to put it on the first time and the button on the powder flap ripped out of its place instead of snapping out of the female part. Sucks! I was looking forward to using it, but now I have to return it. Looks really nice (I got the blue), but the craftsmanship has me worried...
what a great jacket...very warm, lots of useful pockets, good quality and the blue was a cool color....got lots of compliments....I also like the little hole for my ipod earphones.
I got this jacket in camo and it looks great. It is not bulky and still kept me warm. All I had on underneath was a baselayer, a thermal, and a shortsleeve tshirt and was still warm, even when I was on the chairlift getting 6 inches of snow dumped on me. I agree the magnets are very strong and can be annoying when you are trying to reach the goggle pocket and the jacket will snap together even when you have it unzipped, however when you're riding it doesnt even matter. Jacket runs true to size...I am 5'11 and 165 lbs and got the medium.
Got the vivid blue medium off Tramdock for $100 total and it is sick, super warm, and super steezy. So many features that are all useful. THANK YOU TRAMDOCK!! and BACKCOUNTRY!!
Ordered the jacket off tramdock. jacket seemed very nice, lotta good details, but i found the fit funny. i'm 5'9, 140 and the small was tight on my chest, yet kinda big everywhere else. if it fit properly i would have kept
