Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Dual Replacement Lenses - Polarized

Glare sucks. These replacement lenses for your Oakley Half Jacket XLJs feature Oakley's unique polarized construction to eliminate virtually all horizontal glare from water, roads, and cars. For your regular Half Jackets, see [OAK0522].

Bottom Line: Squint no more with these lenses.

Polarized Ice

By:
April 20, 2007

I just wanted to thank you guys for sending an excellent product. I had to replace my current XLJ lenses due to a deep scratch. Anyway, the Ice Iridium Lenses are great for both running and driving. It definitely filters the sun's rays and overall perception is great. I would highly recommend these lenses for someone who spends a lot of time outdoors.

oakley xlj replacement polarized

Oakely truly has a great lens in the XLJ. I am a golfer and the clarity in not only sunlight, but the in betweens is what really surprises me. For anyone playing sports these are a must have. I also own a motorcycle and use them every time I ride. I wouldn't ride without them just because of the visual safety.

Is it possible to get the polarized lenses into a non polarized

Is it possible to get the polarized lenses into a non polarized XJT frame? Some say it is possible just a tight fit, but once they are in they won't come out, while others say they will not fit at all. Which one is true?

Thanks

Half Jacket XLJ

By:
October 22, 2004

The Oakley Half Jacket XLJ was the best purchase I've ever made. The glasses are great for not only protecting your eyes from the sun, but also from the sand, wind, and dust. I highly recommend this frame as well as purchasing polarized lenses for driving, it cuts down on the windshield glare tremendiously.

The Std and XLJ lenses are interchangeable. Seems like the Polarized lens is a little thicker and may not fit.

Half Jacket Lenses

The Quality/Clarity of the Oakley Half Jacket/Lenses are top notch. It's a great system. I had alittle difficulty switching lenses initially, too cautious but it worked out well. Bought extra sets.

XLJ polarized lenses

By:
August 9, 2006

Beautiful lenses. A great upgrade from my non polarized set. These lenses WILL fit in a standard(non XLJ) non polarized frame but i warn you that it takes some effort and patience. The polarized lenses are thicker than the normal ones and the XLJ lenses are a bit wider than the standard ones so they had to be worked into the frame to get the frame to expand a little bit. Once they are in they though look great!

Will the polarized XLJ lenses fit into a non-polarized XLJ frame?

Buy the right lens for you frame!

Bought the Oakley polarized lenses for my half-jackets, but did not realize that they do NOT fit the regular lens frames (the coating makes them too fat).

Great lens

By:

I only wear a polarized lens. These lenses are great for golf and on the water, when it is overcast to partly cloudy days. Will get a set for really sunny days soon. Great clarity and brightness. Highly recommended.

Great lenses, but issue with...

By:
January 5, 2007

These are great lenses on a great pair of glasses. My only issue is that the polarized feature washes out the Heads Up Display (HUD) on my car. I use these mostly from driving, so not being able to see the HUD is a bummer. Of course, I decided to use the glasses and the old fashion speedometer because I like the glasses so much.
