Oakley Felon Sunglasses - Men's

The Oakley Men's Felon Sunglasses are not to be confused with those cheap-ass look-alikes you found at the gas station—these limited edition aviators are the real deal. Oakley tuned the impact resistant Plutonite lenses with High Definition Optics for unreal clarity and absolutely no distortion. The C-5 alloy frames handle years of abuse and feature Unobtainium stem sleeves for a slip-free fit. This is the first production run of the Oakley Felon Sunglasses, so get 'em while they're hot.

Bottom Line: The Oakley Felons—you can't be a smooth criminal with out 'em.

not so bad at all

By:
October 23, 2009

these are not nearly as bad as other's have said but they do need some work out of the box. They start fairly straight but I was able to bend them into a slight wrap around that definately improves the problem of glear from the sides, above, and below. I have the polarized black iridium and find the tint to be great in heavy sun. I also think they are good looking and not as over sized as the Oakley Inmates. For those of us with medium to average faces they look cool. They are also very durable feeling and solid construction.

Felons OK after some work

By:
September 7, 2009

I must agree with the comments others have made about these glasses as they come out of the box. I am not too concerned with style, but want quality eye protection since I make my living as a pilot. For work I am a Serengeti fan, but I wanted a pair of polarized for use in bright light that would stay on under active conditions(ie riding a jet ski). Before returning mine I worked on moulding them to my face. This took care of my biggest disappointments: 1. Too much light coming in from the sides. 2. Too much light coming in from the bottom. 3. Too much pressure from the temples. These are heavy sunglasses. If you are used to the lightweight Oakley frames these are much heavier. I recommend them if you are willing to do a little work and can get them in the $80 price range. I found mine on Steep and Cheap.

Had to return these, also a huge fan of Oakleys and up until now had always loved the product, these glasses however truly suck. Flat with no wrap around, huge gaps on the side, horrible sun protection, and not even cool looking. Stay away, stay far far away.

Not so Angus. Oakley Felon Sunglasses are prescription ready and can be fitted with genuine Oakley prescription lenses. You need to see an optometrist though. It probably won't be cheap.

If you're asking if the lenses are interchangeable, they're not.

Boo.

I gotta agree with the other reviewer. These blow. I'm a huge, huge fan of Oakleys (these are probably my 10th pair), but whoever designed these was on some strong hallucinogens. This is the first time I have been seriously disappointed with an Oakley product.

They are very flat across the front, with no wraparound. They're meant for style, not protection, but it still is a terrible look. It wouldn't be bad if you could manually bend the frames in for some wrap, but the temples are so damn tight, they pinch even in the out-of-the-box settings.

Because of the lens configuration, they reflect your eyes back onto the backs of them, making polarization completely stupid.

The Iridium coating is the crappiest I've seen, with minimal mirroring.

The nose pads are super-tight, too. I wore these to work today and when I got out of the car, I had to basically dig the nose pads out of the little holes they dug in the bridge of my nose.

If you want an aviator style from Oakley -- go with the Inmate or Crosshairs. They're much, much better.

Boo. Boo I say.

Worst Oakley Glasses Ever

By:
August 6, 2009

I ordered these from SAC and literally went around my office showing people how bad they sucked. No one liked the look or the feel of them.

The lenses are supposed to be black iridium but could still see the wearers eyes fairly easy.
The arms squeezed the sides of the head fairly hard and there was little to no give for comfort.
The face is fairly flat so there are huge gaps at the ends to allow light in.
One lens says POLARIZED on the outside of the bottom, makes them look like a $20 pair of gas station glasses.

I wouldn't recommend these to anyone for any reason
