Oakley Edge Mountain Bike Jersey - Long-Sleeve - Men's - 2007
Slip on the Oakley Men's Edge Mountain Bike Jersey, zip it up, and send the tightest singletrack in the forest. This long-sleeve version of Oakley's popular Edge Jersey kicks ass for biking in cooler weather, as a warm-up overshirt, or when you just want a bit of extra protection from branches whipping past at 40 miles per hour. A hidden zip pocket stows your tunes or keys.
i have oakely backpacks and shades from as far back as '86 and they hold up. didnt know what to expect from clothing line.. great stuff. the smell i see mentioned was from being NEW... a few washings at it is a great cool weather jersey. this baby is thick.. i like it.. buy it
I have the short sleeve version as well. I haven't noticed the problems with the pockets, but I wear a small camelback most rides. It's a great cool weather jersey, and is very comfortable to wear all day long.
I'm not built like a cyclist, i have a 44" chest and a 30" waist. I assume a medium would be a little too tight, especially if I want to wear this as an outer layer, would a large be okay?
igor.. im a tri guy.. and built the same way.. and a i have a short sleeve jersey that fits nice in a large.. not sure that translates to the long sleeve... for this price.. i thinks it worth it..
You may be able to get a light base layer under this it will feel a bit snugger in shoulders when you do. if you are looking for cold weather outer jacket I would look at CapoForma S3 Cycling Jacket this is a windproof jacket.
I was looking for a long-sleeve full-zip jersey and I grabbed this in the Outlet for 50% off. It has four rear pockets and one with zipper and audio cable eyelet to the inside of the jersey so you don't have cables hanging out. The two outside rear pockets have low and loose openings that seem a little insecure. The sleeves are a little short for me when riding and it starts to smell fairly quickly.
I have been using it this fall for commuting with and without layering. I think for the price this is a great jersey.
no complaints about this shirt. the pockets are great, and it has a nifty zipper pocket inside the larger middle one. quality is superb and it's both comfortable and fits well.
It's a slightly relaxed fit. It's more on the bike tights side of the spectrum than basketball shorts. Think like a dry-wick shirt, but only a little more tight.
Good quality and styling. The pockets on the back are nice. Durable. Dries very quickly. Good stuff. I would purchase again. The tire lever was a nice surprise. It went right into my Camelback.
Had this one (long sleeve) and the short sleeve version for a few months now, and they both still look great (black l/s looks pretty good with a pair of jeans IMHO), no signs of wear and I'm on the road 6 days a week in them. Great quality stuff from Oakley, and at a killer price!
First time with an Oakley product. Far surpassed my expectations. Full zipper is perfect for those changing temps. Fit is great too. Not sure why they call it a mountain shirt. The three pockets with the hidden zipper pocket i guess is four, make for a perfect road shirt for the long ride. And it's all topped off with a tire iron to boot! Thinking of getting the short sleeve to round out the closet. I am hooked on the Oakley stuff!
Hah, the odor is a NEW smell. It's gone now, after two washes...although I liked it! Anyways, the Edge jersey is great. I use it for crew (rowing) and it keeps me warm during cold Seattle fall/winter days! It dries quick and keeps you warm. It's odd that the pockets are at the butt, but I don't mind; I put my water bottle in there while I row. Especially for the sale price that I snagged it for $27 (incl. shipping and handling) it's a great shirt!
The first one I got was the wrong size, my fault no big deal so I sent it back and got another. The second one had an ungodly odor to it. I had my mother of 86 years smell it and she had never smelt an item of clothing with this kind of odor before. My though was that it had been worn before and sent back and I somehow got it. So I put it thru the wash and it still smelled bad. I then took it to the dry cleaners and it still has the faint odor of something in it. Never have I experienced this type of thing before. So all in all I lost on this purchase.
