The overstuffed Oakley Men's Bubble Goose Down Jacket doesn't play games when it comes to your warmth. Chill out after riding in a blanket of lofty goose-down insulation. Hidden pockets and custom quilting distinguish the Bubble Goose Jacket from the baffling array of down jackets out there. The full hood and an adjustable hem keep you safe from wind and cold.

Bottom Line: Oakley is serious about your warmth.

Very good jacket

By:

Its light and very warm. I wear it with just a shirt underneath even in 15F weather.

Its water proof and the hood is a very nice addition.

My only problem is that the feather escapes the jacket through the seams.

Puffy and Warm

By:
November 7, 2008

The hood is not removable or stowable. This is a very big coat and is not very packable if you want to use it for a touring layer I would look elsewhere. I don't use it for skiing but I could see it being used on a cold park day. It nice and warm when its cold and windy.

100% nylon both fill and innards. Not too crinkly though, you might slide if you fall down, it's tre smooth.

Stylish Jacket!!!

By:
December 29, 2008

Very warm jacket and looks very good. Plenty of pockets: 2 front pockets, 2 chest pockets, 1 back pocket, 1 sleeve pocket, and 1 inside pocket that all zip. Bulky jacket but very stylish. I Love It. Great Buy and Super Fast Shipping.

Not the highest quality nor the most tech features

This jacket is warm. That's about the only good thing I have to say about it. Other than that it's not the greatest (especially not for skiing or snowboarding). The zippers are cheap, the neck zips up way too tight, there is no velcro on the sleeve cuffs (only elastic). There is no venting, the fabric tears easily, and I tore a hold in a side pocket after a week of use. You win some and I guess you lose some.

Great jacket but couple of niggles

By:
December 15, 2008

I love Oakley and wanted a nice down jacket. This caught my attention. It repels the water and keeps in the heat. However something in the design makes it bulge out at the chest giving it a strange look. Also the lining in the sleeve is loose so when you put your hand through the cuff, the lining pokes out as well, so you have to tuck it back in. The hood is not detachable and can't be stowed. It is a bulky jacket. However it still looks good, keeps me warm which is what I got it for. I paid $136, and think it was worth the price, but have seen it on steepandcheap for $70... which is definitely worth it.

toasty warm

Warmest jacket I've owned, could even use "pit zips" to help vent. Fits true to size (M), but woudn't work over a thick sweater (you'd bake). I'd love if it had a two-way zip. Happy with the purchase.
