Osprey Packs Aura 50 Women's Backpack - 2800-3200 cu in - 2007
At a scant 3lb, the 3000cu in, top-loading Women's Osprey Aura 50 Backpack gives you exceptional ultralight performance and unbeatable comfort for any extended ultralight trip. For long, hot hours on the trail, a breathable mesh back panel provides exceptional airflow, while a women's-specific waffle pattern hip-belt and shoulder straps form to your curves to keep you comfortable. You'll hardly notice the heavy load on your back—the AirSpeed suspension's aluminum alloy frame and titanium torsion rods provide lightweight and bomber support while the ErgoPull hip-straps draw the load evenly over your hips to eliminate pressure points. Stash your extra layers in the Aura 50 backpack's twin front pockets, your hydration reservoir in its internal sleeve, energy bars in the waist belt's zippered mesh pockets, and your Nalgene and fuel bottles in the twin side pockets. Push it hard and push it farther shouldering the Osprey Aura 50 Backpack.
Bottom Line: The women's-specific Osprey Aura 50 Backpack gives any fastpacker ultralight performance, comfort, and function.
This pack does a great job of spreading out whatever weight you carry across your hips. My only complaint is the lack of padding on the straps. My shoulders definitely started feeling the weight after a few hours.
What is the smallest outside dimensions when not all the compartments are zipped out and full? I am trying to determine if this pack can go on international flights as a carryon, and the total allowed dimensions are 45 inches. Can't tell whether the listed dimensions for this pack are when fully loaded...
I am trying to decide if i would be a size small pack or medium. I do not have time to get fitted...but i am 5'5" and about 125 pounds. Any recommendations?
Ali,Based only off your height and weight I would recommend going with the small. Since it sounds like you are short on time, I encourage you to order a small and a medium. That way you aren't in a bind where you need the size you didn't order. Best of luck.Mahalo, Sumo
Very nice pack, but the women's fit didn't suit me. The back is quite rounded and it didn't form well for me plus it seems to take quite a bit from the inside area. I am 5'8" and possibly that was part of the problem, but I returned it for a Stratos 40 which is just perfect. Osprey packs are wonderful!
