Ortovox Alaska Avalanche Shovel - 2006
The Alaska Shovel is specially made by Ortovox Europe for an American market that demands a high quality, super strong shovel blade for avalanche rescue. Equipped with a 6000 aluminum blade and the options of a T or D handle, this is an economical shovel that gets the job done in your time of need. Two holes in the blade and one through the handle allow you to string up to 6mm cord for slinging the shovel. The Alaska Shovel is not too teched out. It's just a burly blade for moving tons of snow.
Bottom Line: The Alaska Shovelis down home, no-nonsense avie gear for gringos.
