Ortovox 200cm Probe - 2005

The Ortovox 200cm Probe is the ideal compromise between weight and price. If the depth of burial is about 1m on average, the probe 200 has a sufficient length. The different-coloured segments made from aluminium indicate the depth. The "conical" tubes and the practical express screw fastener allow a fast assemblage of the probe. The larger head of the probe drills a bore channel being larger than the diameter of the probe so that the probe can be pulled out easily and doesn't freeze. -Vendor

Great for limited trips to the BC

I ski at resorts 90% of the time, and don't make long trips into the BC. Therefore I wanted to make sure that my equipment is as light as possible, while still very functional. This probe is great. It is light, compact, and performs well. I have not had to use it in an emergency, but it works great when training with my BSP.
