Outdoor Research ExtraVert Glove - Women's

Whether you chop wood or wait for the commuter train on chilly mornings, the durable Outdoor Research Women's ExtraVert Gloves will get you through. Leather palms and fingers on these soft-shell work gloves provide grip and dexterity, while wool insulates you from the cold. They also stretch, so your hands can move freely, and they're wind-resistant and breathable. These short-gauntlet gloves are so comfortable, you'll want to spring ski in them too.

Bottom Line: Work or play in cold weather in your wind-resistant Outdoor Research ExtraVert Gloves with leather palms.

excellent everyday glove

I'm working outside 5 days a week in winter, and playing around in the snow on my days off...These gloves have become my everyday wear. I'll carry a warmer mitt or glove if it's really cold, but often they stay tucked away. I find the dexterity good enough to easily place ice screws or fumble through my harness.

(Oops, I meant for this to be a review for the MEN'S glove, but the women's are probably just as good!)

Touring glove for cold hands

By: Backcountry.com Employee
February 10, 2009

I needed a spring/touring glove but didn't want to go too light because I have little to no circulation in my extremities and my fingers and toes are in deep freeze from November-May. The extravert turned out to be the perfect solution. Wool-lined means they wick like a champ and stay warm for the descent. Dexterity isn't too bad, I'd recommend sizing down if that's an issue, since they will stretch a bit.
