Outdoor Research Alibi Glove - 2005

The Alibi Gloves are Outdoor Research's top-of-the-line ice and drytooling gloves designed specifically for high-end leashless climbers. The Alibi features a neoprene construction reinforced with corded nylon on the back of the hand for added durability and stretch fourchettes for excellent dexterity. The secure cuff closure has a thermo-formed neoprene, articulating wrist harness and a bite tab for easy hands-free adjustments. Direct-injection protective padding where it counts, gel padding on the outside of the hand, and a super-sticky, water-resistant polyurethane palm make this a killer drytooling glove.

Bottom Line: If you continue to insist on hanging upside down in a figure-four with sharp metal spikes attached to your hands and feet, we must insist that you use a killer glove like the Alibi.

I was excited to get these gloves and loved the feel but they fit very snug so i would recommend ordering a size up if you want mobility in them.

OR Alibi Glove

By:

These are getting close to being the bomb diggity. Buy them tight, the loop is useful for pulling them on. Great tacky grip, nicely placed armor on the lower fingers. That being said, after one day of dry tooling in Vail, one of the finger seams/stitching opened up. May just be a lemon, the remaining attributes of the glove make it worth another pair (and a warranty return). All in all, light years better than the terrible Cloudveil Ice Flow gloves that were trashed after one trip up Birdbrain Blvd.
