Why wear a crinkly, stiff, unisex shell when you can pull on the Norrona Women's Narvik Comfortweld Gore-Tex Jacket and be comfortable instead? Norrona made the Narvik with windproof, waterproof breathable Gore-Tex Soft Shell that protects you during the snowstorm yet doesn't compromise your ability to ski, climb, or otherwise move. Welded seams stop moisture from seeping in. They also cut down on bulk, so you get a jacket that packs easily and is super comfy in the backcountry.
PLEASE NOTE: This garment is fitted and runs small

Bottom Line: Ditch your stiff shell and wear the Narvik waterproof breathable, stretchy softshell instead.
On behalf of my wife, who has not tested this in the elements yet, this is a serious jacket. It has the feel of arc'teryx, no doubt a super high quality make. Medium fits her well, she is 5'8 and thin. Has a nice fitted appearance. Less of a soft shell than one may be led to believe based on the description, but that is okay with us. Should be just what she needs for the Pacific NW.
Got this jacket for my wife - and it was pretty sweet. I'd say quality is at par with Arcteryx (I own 3 Arcteryx jackets) and the colors are stylin. However, the cut was a bit small/too fitted and when we sized up, the arms were too long (definitely longer than TNF jackets)... so we ended up returning it. Dang those tall Norwegians!
When I was investigating the M Narvik (May 9, 2008, I saw your requested color, online, at the "Tannery", "Flemington's" /"21 Century" Department stores, NY, and "Blue Ridge Mountain Sports", WV. I hope this helps. acket.
