Norrøna Lyngen CLO 100 Insulated Jacket - Men's

Norrøna designed the Men’s Lyngen CLO 100 Insulated Jacket as an ultralight belay top for anything from rock to ice climbing. It weighs next to nothing and insulates well. You can stuff this Norrøna jacket in its own pocket when it’s not needed, and the PrimaLoft One insulation comes to the rescue when temps drop and you have to stand still while your partner does battle above.

Bottom Line: A few ounces is a small price to pay for warmth.

This looks very similar to the Mountain Hardwear Compressor. The shells on these jackets are very lightweight and meant to provide a maximum warmth to weight ratio. The tradeoff is that the outer fabric isn't as durable as what most jackets that I am accustomed to. I'd be hesitant to consider using my Compressor jacket as my go-to outer layer/shell piece. It's great for throwing on at break times or when you are lounging around camp, but it isn't going to hold up to lots of abrasion that a typical softshell or hardshell jacket could endure. Additionally, I wouldn't expect this jacket to be as water-resistant as other softshells/hardshells. YMMV but I'd personally recommend keeping this in the pack for break time and getting something else for more extensive use.

The design. detail and construction quality of this jacket are absolutely superb! Exceeded all expectations.
Warmer than my down and no bulk or needing to kid-glove it.
Norrona is a dialed company. Them and Arcteryx are my faves.

Does anyone know the cut/sizing of the jacket. I typically run between sizes + prefer a low profile/trim fit, small in most, but brands like Mtn Hardwear or BC I size up to M. Thoughts? Also, what kind of "trashbag effect" does the material have?
