Long days out in the backcountry call for bomber protection and durability. The baggy-fit Norrona Women's Lofoten Gore-Tex Pro Shell Pant gives you exactly that—plus a healthy dose of Norwegian style. Norrona supped-up these bib pants with top-of-the-line waterproof breathable Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric—you'll stay dry and warm no matter how nasty the squall. The Lofoten Pant's high suspender bib and Zip-seal System work together to keep you protected from the cold and wet no matter how deep the goods get beyond the skin track. Aramid reinforcements on the Lofoten Pant's cuffs stand up to backcountry abuse and full-leg zips put an end to overheating while you hike.
PLEASE NOTE: This garment is feminine fit and runs large

Bottom Line: Mother Nature's got nothin' on the Norrona Lofoten Gore-Tex Pro Shell Pant.
Got these bibs a few months ago and I've been out in them almost every weekend. Went ice climbing, mountaineering and skiing and they performed great in all areas.
The only thing that was a little strange is that the upper part of the bib above the waist zipper does not have fabric covering the spot right above the upper fly snap, so there is a little opening right there. Not a big deal really since you'll be wearing layers under it but just looks funny (although overall they look really sweet). Also, while they have "full size zips," they dont go all the way up to the point that you can fully unzip them from the waist. So, you still have to pull your feet in and out from the waist area.
A few things I absolutely love are the huge deep pockets on the legs - they have a lot of volume, enough that you could stuff a liner glove, cell phone or wallet in there and not really notice. The gore-tex fabric is also burly and stands up to hard abuse and inclement weather. The waist zipper is also pretty easy to use to get the pants on & off.
I wasn't sure what size to get because they said this pant runs large. I'm a 5'7", 130 lb woman and decided to get a medium. This was a great choice because they're only slightly baggy when I'm wearing thin long underwear on underneath them - I can fully bend over without it bunching up on me - but, there is enough space that I've been able to wear long underwear and fleece pants under them for cold days (and then they fully expand into all the free space). Just wanted to throw this out there because I struggled with sizing. If you're in between a small and medium, get the medium.
won't be making this long. So all in all these pants are rock solid. The seams are perfect, the fit is perfect, the color is perfect, the cut is perfect. I can not praise these pants enough. I feel as if I could quite happily take them to the moon and back. They're light and don't hinder your movement in anyway as will sometimes we with bibs.
These will get you through what ever you put them to. Rock solid, top notch product here and I recommend them to anyone looking for the cream of the crop.
Now I just need to get my hands on the Norrona Lofoten jacket!
It is thin and stretchy and not waterproof. It's just the bib, they're assuming your jacket will go down below that line and waterproofing the bib won't be an issue.
My girlfriend is put together in a like manner but probably a little more pear on top & these fit her great. They also have enough room in the lower legs for snowboard boots.
Sweet design, light weight..but strong enough to rip through the trees without worrying! I just spent 5 days in the backcountry with these pants and love them- side zips vent perfectly, and the waist zips off for simple bathroom stops without having to remove ANY layers. I have been looking for a good bib set up and this is it. I only wish I could also get the jacket and perhpaps a second pair of pants in the event these ever wear out.. I don't think I will ever want another pant.
I am really interested in these pants however not sure of the fit. It says they run small then someone left a comment that they actually run large. Being tall 5' 11" and somewhat thin I'm not sure what size to order. I also like a little bit of a baggy fit. Maybe I should order the men's. I just don^t want to spend that much money plus interenational shipping if they won't fit...
I just tried them on - I normally fit a medium, and I needed a S in this case. They are not very baggy, but not tightass either. Really cool fit, but I dont think It's a very good idear to buy the mens pants, the are quite big in the fit - dont think they'll be cool...
Magenta purple is beyond dreamy. I'm super comfortable in a medium at 5'9" 150 lbs. The butt looks very cute when it is synched at the waist a little. Completely impervious to the wind, this shell impresses me like no other. The reinforcement around the ankles is totally heavy duty. And the pockets! Yay for those pockets!!
I tried Arcteryx bibs and Arcteryx Stingray pants. I found Lofoten superior. Finishings were the same at the naked eye, seams and zips look equally waterproof and neat. they are Gore-tex pro (stingrays are not); they feel really comfortable (bibs do not). They have the bottom leg in a very sturdy fabric (stingrays do not): this was important because my last pants were cut just above the boot. They are also cleverly designed because you can zip bib attachments on or off, and they can zip or not zip even to their jacket (similarly cleverly designed). Above all they look amazing (I bought the atoll color). in short, i was pretty sure i was going to buy stingrays, until i tried these on, then it was a clear choice. Arcteryx devotees present all agreed!
I haven't used them yet but have been happily wearing them around the house. They fit perfectly (I ordered a large even though I was at the high end of the sizing) and are well constructed and seem extremly durable. They are much better quality than either the MEC brand or Arcteryx bib style pants. I am looking forward to taking them out in some West Coast weather and will be ver suprised if I get enven a hint of wet. The bib is removable and extendable so you can pick your level of coverage. The colour is exactly what I was expecting, I only wish that I had ordered the jacket aas well.
I reviewed the womens jacket and rated them a 5. As for the pants I would go 5+. These pants are bomb proof and will handle anything you throw at them. I have the Arcteryx bibs and would def. get the Norrona over Arcteryx.
Foe my wife they run a little long in the leg, but with ski boots on its no big deal. They are wide enough for snowbaord boots.
To get the best from Norrona you need to buy the jacket and pants as the ski skirt can be zipped into the pants making it an all in one without that 80's style screaming "Old Skool"
If my Arcteryx ever gets stolen or tears (unlikely) I will def match my wife on the slopes with Norrona.
