The Nixon Men's Rotolog Watch is the timepiece you've always wanted and won't be able to live without. Get a watch inlaid with real walnut, or choose from brightly colored enamel Rotologs if wood-grain isn't your style. The Rotolog watch face spins past a small right window to indicate the time. Nixon's latest offering even has a band with a seamless butterfly closure so the inlay or fill wraps all the way around your wrist. *All Black version features a sleek titanium carbide coating. *Available for US shipment only.
Bottom Line: Take the wood grain from your ride to your wrist with the Nixon Men's Rotolog Watch.
Stylin and expensive piece of man-jewlery, but I rarely where it because it is so damn heavy. Also, let's just say, I'm past my prime for hanging out at the mall. Also I never know what time it is, because the thing is hard to read. Nice watch. If anyone wants one, mine will be on eBay.
Picked up this watch and I love it! It's a heavy watch and definitely feels bomb proof. I got the dark wood and the wood grain shows through very well. It looks exactly as shown in the picture above which was a plus. The only funky thing is that the face of the watch is small so it takes a little getting use to but wasn't a big deal. Great watch and something that will last a long time and gets loads of compliments!
does anyone know where to get or buy extra links for the band of the Rotolog (dark wood)...i love the watch but the band is a little tight for my wrist.
This watch is very cool. I also own the Player and the Banks watches. They're more dressy, but still great. Not only is it a fun watch to wear, it gets a lot of comments and starts a lot of conversations whenever I go out. Fits comfortably, not that heavy at all(one review complains about how heavy it is, must be a small and or wimpy dude) Kudos to the Rotolog!
Ever since i got the Rotolog Watch, i started wearing it right away. The first day, i got compliments all day long. People at my jobs love it, people at bars have gaucked at it, and it's just a huge hit! Looking for a stylish watch? This is the one to get!
Hi, i'm a lucky owner of the Nixon Chalet in darkwood. My question is : does the Nixon Rotolog in wood (teak or dark wood) have the same finish with shiny protection on the bracelet wood than the Chalet ? You can't really figure it out on the picture. Thank you !
I had been wanting one of these Nixon Rotolog watches with the wood inlays for a long time. I finally got the one with the Teak inlay band as a gift for Christmas. I was really excited when I saw it only to be quickly disappointed by the the fact that one of the wood panels in the band was bubbled up and not set properly. I contacted Nixon only to be told that I could send the watch back and if they deemed it a warranty issue they would fix it and return it in a week or two a week and i would have to pay shipping. They suggested I contact the seller. I called backcountry.com who was more than helpful. They offered a sincere apology for my trouble and confidently sent me another watch with a return label to send back the damaged one. I was very pleased with this sites prompt and appropriate response to my problem. Unfortunately the second watch came and one of the wood panels was cracked this time. Again backcountry.com came through saying they were confident it was a fluke and sent me a second replacement watch. I now received the 2nd replacement only to be disappointed a 3rd time. This watch was not damaged but was poorly assembled without attention to detail and several of the wood panels were cut too small leaving gaps in between the wood and band. At this point I have decided to give up on the watch and backcountry.com sent me a return label for all three watches and agreed to refund my money upon the return of the watches. This site gets 5 stars for customer service but I only gave the watch a 2 because the design concept is great but after 3 damaged watches in a row I can't possibly give Nixon and the Teak Rotolog a good rating or recommendation for this watch. Time to go back to the drawing board with this one Nixon.
It looks great. Very stylish but not the easiest thing to read. The numbers are small so I can't get the time at a glance unless my eyes are close. I should say that I have good eye sight and do not need contacts or glasses. That said it is one of the best looking watches out there!
Back in June I had to decide what I wanted for my birthday, I got the Leather Rotolog. I regret not spending the money for the wooden band, but purely for aesthetic value. The watches are exactly the same, both have the coolest way of telling time yet, and both have an LED light to light it up. Sometimes, for a split second, I have to focus on what the time is, because it lines up the hour 2:50 right on the 3. Sadly, neither are waterproof, and the leather band does show some a few little cracks. So definitely, pick up the wooden version and have everyone want to try on your watch.
I got the dark wood version. I really like it. I will admit when I first got it out and put it on, I wasn't 100% sure... but after wearing it a few times I totally love it. Great watch, its different and unique. I also have a Nixon Tide watch which I also like. I definitely like the unique clasp on the Rotolog. If it fits your personal style - then go for it!
I love it! Coming from a watch enthusiast, for 200 bucks this is a great purchase! I own several expensive watches none however attract the attention I get while wearing this watch. It is a little heavy, but very comfortable. Its craftsmanship is excellent and it has a great clasp.
I got my Rotolog for X-mas 2004, right when they came out. I've still got it, and wear it all the time. The batteries last about a year before they need to be changed.
I like the design of this watch and the way the wood and metal blend together. The only thing is that the metal is a little shinier that what I had expected. And for anyone actually needing to tell accurate time, this is not the watch. The face is small and will give you a general sense of time. This is more of an accessory than a watch. I still like the design though.
This watch is really unique, I have never seen one at all like it. Nixon makes really good products, I also own another watch by them and it is too awesome. This watch has real wood inlays but they are protected by a finish, so on the picture it looks like you could feel the texture of the wood but you can not. It will take a little getting used to trying to tell the time but thats no problem! The watch band itself is really cool and has a nicely designed clasp. Every time I wear this watch I get comments, it really stands out! I am 100% satisfied with this watch and recommend it to anyone who wants a unique watch or likes Nixon products.
I get a ton of compliments on this watch. It's even started a few conversations with girls! It's definitely unique. It's heavy and is made of quality materials. Well recommended.
it only comes in one size but it also includes extra links in the box. I had to add some links when I bought mine. You should be able to add or remove links at any jewelry store for a small fee. I got mine done at kay jewelers. Hope this helps
This is one of the best gifts I've ever bought for my husband. He absolutely loves it! He receives compliment after compliment when we're out in public. This watch is worth every cent.
For an expensive watch, the finish on the inlay should be more precise. They spooged clear enamel onto the metal in one place and the enamel is very unevenly applied from link to link. The face looks great. It looks like it's from my parents 1979 Cougar wagon. Chicks dig it.
this is a great watch!!! i recommend it to anyone with class. i got the dark wood and you can wear this thing with anything. i might even buy the one in white. its worth the money. 2nd watch i've bought from back country and haven't been disappointed. if you like this one check out the Nixon Player watch. thats a sick watch too.
Bought this watch for my boyfriend's birthday and he absolutely loved it! its got such an elegant look about it and a nostalgic feel for watches from times past. love it, he loved it. makes a great present, looks better than the picture!
This watch is a panty dropper. It looks very expensive. Everyone I meet compliments it and asks were I got it. I told my friend it cost me a "G", and he wasnt sure if I was kidding or not. This watch will defiantly make you look like a badass. Biddies like it and I see them staring at it a lot, it's like moths to a flame. Buy it.
Got the blue & yellow graphic one. It's great. Get compliments on it all the time! The watch is solid, and definitely worth every penny. Time is easy to read once you get used to it. You'll never have another watch like this.
I just personally like the urban organic feel to it. But if you're also looking for something that differentiates itself, this holds it down. Within the first two weeks, I've received a lot of compliments on this watch.
This watch is really worth the money. Quality construction, not too huge on your wrist, but the style is unlike anything else out there. Subtle, but really a great way to stand out.
