Nitro Pantera Snowboard

Want to rip pow lines like a Cowboy From Hell? Nitro tacked some nano-composite shoes onto the powder-loving tapered shape of the Pantera Snowboard so you could ride this steed into the sunset after poaching your buddies’ favorite powder field. By the time they get to the top of the hike you’ll have floated softly through the trees and down to the saloon where they’ll soon meet you to settle the score like men-with shots and plenty of cornhole.

  • Powerlite core serves up ultra-lightweight pop and strength
  • Speed Formula II base gives you nanotech-powered lightning speed and high durability
  • New Rock Bands provide maximum tip-to-tail power and snap
  • Tri-Lite laminates add optimal torsion control with minimal weight
  • These boards arrived with assorted colored bases. We have no control over which color you'll get.

Bottom Line: A Vulgar Display of Power.

Fast, stiff but the wax ...

By:

I've owned this board for two years and am very happy with it. The board is quite stiff and great in powder. Lean back and relax. It has some pop but is not really meant for the park. I noticed that I get incredibly fast on the board with no chatter to worry about. I would not recommend the board to beginners since it takes some getting used to the stiffness of the board. I did have a problem keeping wax on my board, it never seems to last very long. I actually got stuck once on the mountain where I had to take the lift down due to NO wax left on the board. Imagine standing at the beginning of a black diamond slope, leaning down the mountain and the board not moving one bit. I have never seen something like that before. Therefore, only 4/5.

I bought an Lx for Bx. racing because it was recommended. The board does what Nitro says it will . Great construction, carves , big hits, (fast?)
My problem is the base ( fx. smartbase) It is die cut with 4 different colors (and hardnesses). So when you tune it , eventually you begin to notice that the different colors of base wear differently. you end up with a multi level base (not good for racing). Also, the base burns very quickly, and I mean quickly. You will notice edge burn after only a couple of runs . To a recreational boarder, I would not recommend this snowboard. I tune the base every time I ride and I could not keep the base from burning. I contacted Nitro's r&d team and all I got back was a bunch of" Jive" and a 50% off offer on my next board.
No thanks ! i want to be on the mountain not in the tuning shop.
