The Native Eyewear Ignition Sunglasses shield your baby blues with precision polarized optics and a small, wrap-around frame. When the clouds roll in, use the Snap Back system to quickly swap out the glare-eliminating polarized lenses for Native Eyewear's Sportflex lenses (sold separately). When the going gets bumpy, expect the Ignition Sunglasses to stay in place thanks to head-hugging Cushionoid rubber Mastoid temples and self-adjusting nose pads.
Bottom Line: If your full-throttle life calls for quality polarized eyewear start it up with the Native Ignition Sunglasses.
I'm just writing this to note that the width from temple to temple is ~130mm. Native unhelpfully describes this as small/medium fit, which is pretty useless to folks that wear glasses a lot. They're a little snug on me but fit my face very nicely.
Native's Ignition sunglasses were my first pair of brand name glasses and now I find myself wondering how my eyes ever managed before these. The amazingly light frames hug your face perfectly and the Cushinoid pads keep these suckers stuck. Glare from ice, snow, pavement, glass and water are all but eliminated. I've used these glasses for singletrack, hiking, cruising, bumming around town, and even rolled a few times in Lake Superior and the Ignitions clung to my face. The only reason these didn't receive the full 5-star rating is because the Reflex coating (the blue shine)deteriorated after a hard season in the elements but Native replaced them with no problem. I would definitely buy these glasses again, but as far as I can tell, I'm not going to need to anytime soon.
I love these glasses. They fit my small face, are very comfortable for all day use, and really do stay on during sports. The polarized reflex lenses let in quite a bit of light in bright conditions, but the clarity is wonderful. I'd buy them again in a second!
Lavanda;Initions are cool shades, but I think they are for small faces. You might need a wide face style, like Nano 2,or Native's with XP at the end of the name.Tare's will fit a larger face. You need to look at the styles to see which one you like.Dash's are for small to med. faces and may not work.
I wear these on a daily basis whenever the sun is out. They fit a smaller face great, stay put when you're active (biking, running, digs in beach volleyball, etc), and they have never fogged up on me. They've seen mud, snow, sand, water, you name it and have held up great. Polarized is the way to go, too...takes away the unwanted glare. I'm very close to buying a second pair in the Mako/copper reflex combo (currently have cola/brown polarized), but want to see how the Triumphs fit first. If they're too big, I'm definitely going for another pair of these!
I was nervous about buying sunglasses online - I mean, what if they look stupid? I don't like returns. The reviews for Native Eyewear were good so I took a chance. Glad I did. The fit on these things are fantastic. I have a small face and they don't look too big. They stay on my nose, and they breathe well for high-sweat activity. My only issue has been that the lens has scratched easily. Might have to get another pair of lenses soon.
Perhaps it's a "YMMV" thing, but I thought these glasses were great. I had another pair by a well known and very popular brand, but those didn't cut it for me. I think it was the way those glasses fit, plus one lens was polarized differently or something, so it was like looking through 3-d glasses (without red and blue). I also wanted something that would feel light and hug my head gently, while offering lifetime warranty.
Native Eyewear's Ignition glasses did just those things for me. I got the black frames with the blue reflex lenses, and boy are they beautiful. Not only are they beautiful, but the optics are wonderfully clear, the glasses cover just enough of my eyes (not too big, but not too small) so that they're shielded from bright light, yet not so "in the way" of my face. Also, the rubber cushinol nose grip is great. I have a smallish nose, but the nose grip keeps my glasses up. I never have to push them back up my face because they're sliding down.
The case is a soft bag that you can use to wipe the lenses without damaging them. (Hard case is available but you might have to Google for it.)
Also, as another reviewer mentioned, these glasses do not come with 3 sets of alternative lenses. You'll need to order those separately.
I had my first pair and lost them. I had looked all over for them because I just love them. I have a smaller face and they fit great. Glad I find them online and love them!!!
The Ignition frame was not shaped to fit properly across the eye brows. Also, the NATIVE Ignition's do NOT include 3 sets of lens with this model. Looking for the new offerings to come out in Jan. '08.
