Native Eyewear Bomber Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized

If you’re sitting in the cramped, over-heated cockpit of a B52, at least your Native Eyewear Bomber Polarized Sunglasses will stay clear and un-fogged. These interchangeable-lens shades have a vented frame that keeps the coast clear.

  • • Interchangeable lens technology means you can have one pair of sunglasses for many different lighting situations (extra lenses sold separately)
  • Anti-Ocular Intrusion System helps prevent lenses from pushing toward your eyeballs in the event of a high-velocity impact
  • Lightweight, durable frame takes abuse
  • Polarized lenses block 100% of harmful UV light and eliminate glare

Bottom Line: One Bomber for many different forecasts.

I bought a pair of these glasses earlier this year but can't

I bought a pair of these glasses earlier this year but can't seem to figure out how to remove the lenses from the frames in order to replace them with new ones. The instructions are not very helpful on this front so any help is much appreciated.

Edit: Figured it out on my own...The instructions that Native lists online are not quite correct. the lens shape is different from the picture and therefore instead of pinching and pushing towards the nose piece, its actually pinching and pushing down. this allows the upper outside corner to pop out and the rest comes out easily. they go back in the reverse of taking them out...

Cheers,
West

The instructions on the website seem fairly straight forward, just grab the lens near the hinge, push towards the nose, and then pull outward away from where you face normally is. To put in, push into the nose, and then towards where the face normally is.

I've had another smaller pair of Natives for several years and have been really happy with them. When my kids scratched my Spy glasses, I turned to the Natives. The lifetime warranty is a plus, but I wouldn't have bought them if they didn't fit so well. I wanted a second pair of glasses with a larger profile and more side coverage and these fit the bill perfectly. The nose pieces are grippy, but the temples are not. They stay put very well. I also like the down-curved temples because one problem I've had with straighter temples is that they bump against a hatband. One downside is that extra lenses are not included. I love the amber lenses of my other pair, and maybe I'll buy those for the Bombers someday.

Native is a quality brand, which builds durable shades. The bomber fit my 23 inch head and face much better than the slimmer Triumph. If you have a larger requirement for sunglasses, they can be hard to find. The bomber fit nicely, won't fall off while in action, and there's minimal behind the ear pinch. I always have this problem, the bomber is made for guys with a mellon. They might fit bug'ishly on a slender dome. The lenses are what you'd expect from a polarized Native. They make cloudy, low-lit days bright and block sunshine and glare perfectly. The styling on the wood frames is really new and nicely updates the typical brown framed shade that I always sick with. The brown lenses are pretty solid all-around. Rose lenses are my favorite, but I am really happy with these. Doubt I'll be changing the lenses out for conditions; work great in all light conditions as the rose version do... for those who are a rose fan.
