Nathan Elite 2V Plus Pack - 2008

Go farther when you wear the Nathan Elite 2V Plus Pack. This ultra light lumbar pack holds two 22-ounce bottles and comes with a flask for five ounces of energy gel, so you can stay hydrated and refuel without stopping. Carry another gel pack or other small essentials in the zippered pocket. The Airmesh back panel ensures you don't form a sweat film between you and your pack, and a shock cord lets you carry a jacket or gloves. *Fits waists 26 to 42 inches.

Bottom Line: Prevent bonking.

The belt system on these is the same. Nathan has done an exceptional job of designing to ensure fit and minimize bounce, chaffing, etc. The question for you is: do you want the zippered pocket? Personally, I prefer the Plus because of the pocket. I agree with Marit- both packs have the same belt/bottle setup. The contents of the accessory pouches may have a slight addition to the bounce but not significant. I've found that my stride has more effect on the bouncing..by changing the stride just oh so slightly can really stop the bottle bounce! Cheers

Nathan Elite 2V plus pack

This is a nice pack-well made and it does hold the 2 bottles pretty stable. My only beef with the pack is if you are short(i'm 5'4") like i am your arms may hit the tops of the bottles or the tops of the side accesory pouches when running...somewhat annoying but i just raise my arms slightly and keep them out away from my sides when i'm on the move. Aside from that i like the pack and would certainly recommend it for trail runners or summer day hikers going ultralight.

No. Go to the Nathan website (nathansports.com) and you can buy individual bottles there. They're cheap.
