NRS Aquapac 410 Camera Case - 2007

The NRS Aquapac 410 Camera Case protects your compact point-and-shoot camera from the water, so you can keep it accessible when you run the rapids. NRS designed this simple zip-close case to keep your camera protected even if it gets submerged in 15-feet of water. A neck strap allows you to keep this case close at hand, so you can snap a couple shots and get back to paddling.

Bottom Line: Don't risk ruining your camera just to have it on a river trip. Protect it with the NRS Aquapac 410 Camera Case.

Underwater Pics = Pretty Nifty

By:
October 17, 2007

I've always had a dream of taking underwater pictures, but never found the desire to buy a disposable underwater camera, or spend hundreds of dollars on an expensive case intended for a specific camera. This pack is a great compromise between quality and value. For $30 and with a little practice, anyone can figure out the tricks of holding the lens onto the hard lens plastic to avoid extra glare and get some amazing underwater pics. I haven't ruled out one day buying a nifty underwater camera apparatus, but until then this keeps my dreams of underwater photography alive and well.

Meh

It will work well if your camera has a non-telescoping lens, mine sicks out about a inch and makes using it super awkward. I still use it as a drybag for my cellphone, wallet, etc.

Waterproof

I used this bag on a really rainy day on a really wet hike in Kauai. It kept my camera dry, until I started opening and closing the bag too much, but I did find that it did work as it was supposed to. If your camera has a lens that retracts from the main body of the camera, you might find this pretty awkward to use underwater, as it will be difficult for the lens to extend all the way. It is also awkward to find the shutter on the camera, when the bag is being pushed open all the way. However, if you want a way to keep valuables dry, and even attempt to snap some underwater photos, this is a nice cheap way to do so!
