NRS Kickers Wetshoe Booties - 2006

The NRS Kickers Wetshoe is designed to be the Swiss Army knife of booties—adaptable to any water-lover's sport of choice. The sole provides a secure grip on wet surfaces of all kinds, while providing extra protection for the sides of your feet. For those who might go through the spin cycle or take a noteworthy wipeout, these shoes feature a beefy arch strap and an ankle drawcord to assure a secure fit. Note: Women order one size smaller; ½ sizes order one size larger.

i am reading about certain style shoes that have a sock like

i am reading about certain style shoes that have a sock like liner and how the end up having a bad smell...I know the NRS kickers seem to be popular, but that material and that type of style leads me to believe that they will really have a bad odor....Is this true? if so what would you recommend for kayak use....i am new ( very new ) to the kayak world...do not know how i will use one....but it looks to me like many people kayak and hike a bit...maybe camp....so do you use a shoe like a Keen Newport H2 or the arroyo and wear a bootie of some sort when in the kayak and then have the ability to remove the bootie and enjoy the walking comfort of a good shoe or sandal....I do have a habit of over analysing...thanks

These shoes were just what I needed for windsurfing—to protect the socks of my dry suit and maintain good contact with the board.
