NRS Boundary Shoe

I have purchased these boots for kayaking. The are great and of a high quality. I would recommend them to everyone. The only small issue that I have is that I would order the next size larger. The fit tight when you order the exact size you normally wear.

Unfortunately my boots leaked and I will be returning them to get another pair. I'm going to give them another chance since it seems that they have worked for other people. They were comfortable so hopefully the next pair will not let my feet get wet.

I bought these boots because I often (always) have to steady the canoe for my wife and kids when they board. They refuse to learn how to board properly, and I just wanted to get paddling and avoid the wrath of my wife's German ancestry; so now I have these boots. They solved my problem and also happen to be super comfy. I use them when kayaking, too. They keep my feet warm and toasty, and my kids think I got them from ninjas. Well, I sort of told them that.
I found that the size tens were true to size (thought I'd sneek something useful in).

Got a chance to try them this weekend and they fit and worked great. Before I received the boots I was concerned by one reviewer who suggested to get a size larger. I'm glad I didn't because my boots were actually on the loose side, which is great for when I need to slip on those wool socks. I have 17" calves and these boots were able to comfortably accommodate them plus my paddling pants tucked inside. I was actually more comfortable having these on paddling than having on my Tevas or being barefooted. Just need to remember that these boots were made for flexibility so do be cautious walking around in them during loading and portages. And Yes, they kept my lower extremities dried as promised. I had to load in about 15" of water and it was exposed to rained for my 6 hours of fishing. The best part was my feet didn't feel clammy and sweaty even with plain cotton blend sports socks on. I'll be looking to BackCountry.com for future purchases. Boots are exactly what I was looking for. They're perfect for put-in, take-out and portaging keeping my feet warm and dry. Looking forward to extending my kayaking season later into fall/winter and earlier into winter/spring. Can't go wrong with NRS products.
