Ninthward Nick Greener Pro Model Ski - 2007

As the stick of choice for the current US Freeskiing champion, the Ninthward Nick Greener Pro Model Ski goes big and skis hard. If you're hucking 40-footers and straightlining AK faces, this is the ski for you. The Nick Greener Pro Model Ski's tri-laminate poplar core charges through crud and mixed conditions while cutting weight so you can charge harder, longer. Considering its 30m turning radius, the NGP Ski feels most at home atop big open faces and crazy steeps. The bulletproof Durasurf 4000 knows how to take a hit, so you can stay on your line despite stumps and shark fins hiding below the snow. ABS sidewalls cut swing weight and grant effortless edge-to-edge transitions.

Bottom Line: The Ninthward Nick Greener Pro Model Ski—step in, point the tips, and haul ass. Repeat ad nauseam.

Does Ninthward include the tail turnup in the length or do they

Does Ninthward include the tail turnup in the length or do they only measure the effective edge.Or does anyone know the effective running length (length minus tips n tails)?

I don't believe any ski company uses their effective edge as their length of the ski. That said, it's a toss up between running length vs. actual material length. Best contact Ninthward for the right answer.

You just described the founding days of pretty much every ski manufacturer since the dawn of time.Like it or not, most every other ski you'll pick up today is now made by robots in China. At least these guys shred on the stuff that they build. Big ups to the little guys!

If you can hack anything on the hill, you'll be fine on these on groomers. If you're just trying to enjoy corduroy and possibly venture off into some crud, I recommend an all mountain ski.I've got the Rossi B83 and next years Phantom SC80, and they're phenomenal all mountain skis. If you're wanting something a little wider, Backcountry has the B94 on sale:http://www.backcountry.com/store/ROS0223/Rossignol-Bandit-B94-Alpine-Ski.htmlIf you're dead set on a twin-tip, get the Rossignol Scratch Brigade, Scratch Scream'in, or hold out to get the '08-'09 S3 Pommier. The S3 is a kick-ass ski, you won't be sorry you waited.http://www.backcountry.com/store/ROS0227/Rossignol-Scratch-Brigade-Alpine-Ski.htmlhttp://www.backcountry.com/store/ROS0317/Rossignol-Scratch-Scream-in-Alpine-Ski.htmlFinally, if you ever want to talk skis or tell me what a fool I am for liking Rossignol, feel free to e-mail me at mattf [at] bikemonkeyranch.com

Pretty Sweet

By:

These are some fairly burly skis that can handle some pretty decent hucks... But I have skied on mine about five times and already have about fifteen chips in the top sheets....
