Mountainsmith Ghost Backpack - 2800cu in - 2004
The Mountainsmith Ghost backpack is a mid-sized, full suspension pack with the versatility to serve as a day pack, an overnighter, or an ultralight backpack. Backpacker Magazine called the Ghost, “The best pack we've found for ultralight packing…ample load control and superior freedom of movement for scrambling or even climbing.” A fiberglass hoop load transfer system distributes weight evenly throughout the pack, allowing this featherweight to haul up to 30 pounds of gear, food, and water. The Ghost, part of the revered Mountainlight series, is also a water hog. It's equipped with a hydration reservoir pocket with a shingled tube port (so rain can't find it's way inside your pack) as well as two large mesh water bottle pockets. This easy-access panel-loading pack is simply the way to go for versatile mountain exploration.
Bottom Line: A versatile, featherweight pack with full padding and suspension—a rare and excellent combination!
