Mountain Khakis Original Mountain Denim Pant - Men's - 2007
Mountain Khakis built the Men’s Original Mountain Jean with comfortable and tough materials for the rigors of life in the mountains. This relaxed-fit pant features 12.5-ounce denim fabric with organic cotton fibers, reinforced stitching for durability, and a diamond-gusset crotch for added mobility. Mountain Khakis also gave the Original Mountain Jean an enzyme wash for a soft, comfortable feel the first time out.
I own all of them, these are the best your going to find. They fit better than Luckys, are more comfortable than Levi's, and put Agave's colors to shame. Buy them, you won't be disappointed.
Does anyone know how these fit compared to the other MK pants? The store nearby my place only carries the Mountain Pant and and the Alpine Utility, none of the jeans. I tried on a 32x32 (my usual size) Mountian Pant and they were really tight in the waist but the length was fine. The next closest size was a 34x32 and these were just about perfect. I've heard that the dimensions on the pants are exact but I'm still not clear if this is the case for the jeans as well.
If the 32x32 size was tight, you might try a 33x32. MK sizes are "true to size," meaning there is not extra wiggle room added to the waist. There is about a 1/2" added to the length to account for some shrinkage. The MK Original Mountain Jean has more of a classic jean fit, so it is not an identical fit to other men's MKs. The rise is an inch shorter and both the gusset and leg are less full. Still, you will likely fit into the same size in both styles.
Yeah, I guess these were pretty comfortable jeans, but honestly they didn't seem like anything special, and at a tad under $100, I was expecting something pretty rad. I ended up taking them back and just buying some $30 jeans at PacSun that were just as comfy and good looking.
Cambodia___________From Mountain Khakis: " Our Mountain Khakis are made in a very reputable factory in Cambodia. Every aspect of our productions department takes a lot of pride in giving our customers AND employees the best quality possible. These aspects pertain specifically to our MK shorts and pants. In the early days of Mountain Khakis, our pants were made 100% in the USA. But being a small company trying to make it in a very competitive industry and our growing supply and demand, we moved our production overseas. Today, we are working diligently to bring production back to our home country. Our new 2008 Denim Collection, which is our first product to use certified Organic cotton fibers, is also made in the same warehouse. "
These are very comfortable jeans. I usually wear 34 pants and most of my 34 jeans actually measure 35 in the waist. These are a true 34 and fit perfectly. The 34 length is true. The material soft and comfortable, the dark wash very attractive and the gusset crotch very comfortable when I wear to work on Friday. As the other guy said, I agree these are as nice as my Jake Agave jeans.
