Mountain Khakis Alpine Pant - Women's - 2006

Functional and flattering, the Mountain Khakis Women's Alpine Pant gives you distinctive style and comfortable performance no matter what you do in the mountains. Thick ring-spun yarns make these cotton canvas pants durable enough to get you through the roughest backcountry days. Despite its toughness, the lightweight fabric is pre-washed and brushed for softness. Bar tacks in stress areas and a solid brass YKK zipper mean this hiking pant will be around for the long haul.

Bottom Line: Make the Mountain Khakis Alpine Pant a staple in your mountain wear.

not so much on the long side...

Just got a pair of these pants--I ordered a 2 Long, and they're short. I've got a 32-33 inch inseam, and these pants barely graze the top of my foot. I figured I'd be safe with a Long but I guess it's all relative--it's definitely no 33 inch inseam as I saw claimed on a size chart. What IS long about these pants is the crotch! I went with these 'cause I was tired of having a really long crotch in all my carhartts, and that's still the case with mtn. khakis!

durable!

These are a very durable pant! I have been using them for mountainboarding and they have been holding up really well. They are a more heavy durable cotton. They do run a tad large so you could size down depending on the fit that you are looking for. but you could wear your true size and just not have them fitted. so far I like these, they keep my jeans from getting all torn up.

Starting in Fall of '08, all women's Longs will have a 34" inseam, regardless of size. This is part of the new, revised women's fit.

Satisfied

I got these pants for all around. I was sooo happy when I tried them on and they actually fit. I'm about an 8 in the waist and 10 in the hips, so I usually get a 10 since most companies seem to think women don't have wide hips anymore. I got an 8 and they really fit perfectly, not snug, they're just right. They're a great pant for freezing cold days in Utah and I love the 2 ply at the bottom of the pant so they don't shred.

Alpine Pant

I highly recommend this pant. It fits really well for women (no more buying men's pants hoping they fit). The shape is really nice. They are durable and good for multi-use. I am part of search and rescue and this pant is perfect. I can transition from my dirt bike to hiking to climbing without a thought. When I throw some long underwear underneath them, they are the perfect cold weather pant. It is totally worth it if you plan on getting dirty and working to buy these pants. My only complaint is that the zipper is backwards but nothing you can't handle!
