Mountain House Potatoes & Cheddar - 2 Serving Entree

Mountain House's Potatoes and Cheddar with Broccoli for two is a hearty vegetarian meal that's ready in seconds. Just add boiling water to the freeze dried meal in its foil pouch and wait for your backcountry masterpiece.

Bottom Line: It weighs less than a 5lb-bag of Idaho potatoes, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper too.

Better than just potatoes.

Better than the plain old instant spuds.

Great Addition...

This side dish is great to mix in with rice or couscous and would go great with many Indian entrees. We had it with curried couscous and flatbread, which was a great meal after 3000 miles of vert and 4 miles through the Uinta Mountains. I will definitely buy again!

Great with beef jerky

My hiking partner and I eat this with thinly sliced Tillamook beef nuggets added to give it extra protein and more substance. Very tasty and very filling. A favorite as an entree for us two women.

Outstanding

I found myself reading the package by the campfire. I was making a focused mental note, as to which meal I was eating at the time. On our 25 day hike, Mountain House Potatoes and cheese with Broccoli was clearly remembered by all four of us!

Great side dish

When I am backpacking with friends, we usually get lots of different kinds of food and then share to taste the different foods. The Potatoes and Cheddar comes with us on every trip. We use it as a side dish for the main meal. This is a good one.

SALTY!!

By:

Easy to carry and easy to prepare, but these eggs are super salty tasting. I'd stick with just plain dehydrated eggs and add your own bacon bits for a little meaty flavor.
