One Of The Originals

You can't go wrong with a hearty bowl of Chili Mac with Beef. A good stick to your ribs meal. Add your own red chile powder for extra flavor/heat & tortillas for more carbs. More beef & less macaroni pasta would be a nice change from MH.

OK, but not the best.

We picked this up for our last backpacking trip. I was a bit let down. Not what I thought to be a good meal. It was filling, but not something I would buy again.

The old standby

By:

Growing up with Hamburger Helper solidified this entree in my pantry for life. Try to add veggies when possible!

good taste, but....

For some reason, on this particular one, make sure to stir it really well and don't skimp on the hot water. On several occasions, I wind up with pieces that are still not rehydrated. Otherwise, tastes great. Oh, and this will also make you regret not bringing that roll of TP with you. Enjoy and Beware.

Awesome!!

My favorite of the five freeze dried dinners we took into the back country! Presoak and reheat in the bag in a pot of hot water prior to eating.

Add some corn, then its supreme

By:

I'm not ordinarily a macaroni fan, but this meal was really good. I added half a pkg of corn to the meal. It was quite tasty. Mtn House is doing well with their meals.

Be ready to go

By:

This is a great tasting meal, but it will upset your stomach. It upset mine and on another trip upset my friends. Not a good situation to be several miles in on a long hike and come down with an upset stomach. Not recommended at all

Way Tasty but...

Way tasty! A total treat if you've been grinding through a long day in the woods. Not spicy at all so throw in some hot sauce to really get the bears' attention. Let stand in water a bit longer than recommended for better results. A warning: this stuff WILL rumble back to life the next day. My brother and I ate this on our last night in the woods, respecting the inevitable.

By far the best dehydrated meal I have ever had. Buy at least a couple for your next trip, you will be stoked you did.
