Mountain Hardwear Xenon Jacket - Women's - 2007
The Mountain Hardwear Women's Xenon Jacket uses seam-taped Gore-Tex Performance Shell fabric to guarantee you total waterproof protection and exceptional breathability. This technical jacket offers all the features a true alpinist requires: articulated arms for freedom of movement while climbing, superlight welded Underarm zips for conditional venting, and a helmet-compatible hood with a laminated brim. The Xenon Jacket weighs a scant 17oz, but has the fortitude to battle the heaviest alpine storm.
Bottom Line: Reach the zenith in Mountain Hardwear's Xenon Jacket.

Runs small

I really like all the features with this jacket, especially the durability and breathability, but it does run small since it is a "climbing" shell. I normally wear an XL in MH outerwearbut this is pretty tight. I did wear it during rain/snow mix in Alaska and it kept me dry and therefore warm, but I couldn't wear it over my normal fleece... kind of disappointing since I was relying on consistent sizing. Buy a size bigger if you are planning on using it in extreme weather where you might need thicker layers.
Change me.
