The Mountain Hardwear Wicked Tee has a comfy, relaxed fit and mind-blowing moisture wicking capability. Its long-cut back makes sure nobody assumes you're here to fix the sink, and flat-locked seams won't rub you the wrong way when you run or backpack.
This shirt is awesome, great material and perfect for all outdoor activities. BUT, and this is a big but, if you are bigger than average (taller I mean), the shirts are very short. I am 6'0 tall and i have to wear a shirt over this, because this shirt is a few inches too short. I bought this same shirt for a 5'3" friend and it's perfect, but be wary of length. Surprisingly, the arm length is great, just the body length. That said, I did keep it to wear under t-shirts, but I wish it was longer!
I'm 5'4" and this shirt is perfect for me. I wore it as a base layer at 10,350' and was comfortable with the sleeves pushed up for warm weather or pulled down when it got cloudy. I like the way it fits, which is not as snug as the Capilene 2 V-neck. That makes it wearable under or over a short sleeve tee, if you need the extra layer.
Very comfortable and dries very quickly from sweat. I bought this in white and it was covered in dirt from a camping trip - every speck of dirt easily came off in the washing machine. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
I absolutely love these shirts. Recently they went on an around-the-world trip mountain biking in Normandy, France, jungle hiking in Malaysia, and on safari in South Africa. I packed two Mountain Hardwear Technical T's, one brooks wicking shirt, and one North face shirt. All protected me from the sun (and bugs to the extent that they provided good coverage), but the Mountain Hardwear blew away the other two in terms of wicking ability and the fact that they could be rinsed in a sink at night (with Dr. Brommers) and be dry the next morning. The Mountain Hardwear tops also pack smaller than any other shirt I have. My only caveat with the Mountain Hardwear tech T's is that they snag easily. My husband has single-handedly added "interest" to both shirts by tossing his biking gloves (with VELCRO®-Brand fasteners) closures into the laundry with my stuff. I wish the tops were a bit more durable (in terms of pull), but would not sacrifice the fast-drying properties to attain that.
Maybe I have a long torso or something. I ordered XS, which is the same size I wear in regular department stores. I am 5'5" and this barely covered my belly button. Fabric is ncie though. I may exchange for a size up; does anyone know if it's much longer? I would need at least 2 more inches of fabric.
Felt the fit is true to size, sleeves a touch long unless you're needing the extra length for sports activities. Not quite AS smelly as some poly types, so that's a good thing! Very nice, and when it actually gets to be winter in Texas, I'll give it a real workout!
