OK seriously, “Typhoon Pant”? Isn’t that title a little extreme? Oh wait, the Mountain Hardwear Women’s Typhoon Pants have waterproof breathable Gore-Tex Paclite fabric. Hmmm … we guess that changes things quite a bit, because this fabric not only keeps your legs bone-dry in torrential downpours, it is also lightweight and breathable. That means you won’t feel a stuffy greenhouse effect when you start working up a sweat in the backcountry. Nine-inch ankle zippers make it easy to pull these pants on, while reinforced knees add durability.

Bottom Line: Typhoon is a fitting title after all.

Hi is your Mt Hardware Typhoon Item #MHW0924 pants warm with the goretex lining as long as you have a medium or heavy underpant in temps close to 0 degrees? Also is it made in China?thanks John

The Typhoon Pants are made utilizing the Paclite Laminate from Gore. They are a lighter shell pant but would work fine in lower temps with powerstretch or some other fleece liner underneath. Also, Paclite is one of the more breathable laminates from Gore. Great performance at a great price. They are in fact made in a Gore certified factory in China.
