Mountain Hardwear Transition Featherweight Vest - Men's - 2006

When you're Nordic skiing or cycling in cold weather, the Mountain Hardwear Men's Transition Featherweight Vest is like a piece of armor against the wind. But unlike the kind of armor that comes to mind, this piece weighs in at a mere eight ounces. Polyester/elastane blend fabric allows the Transition vest to move with you as you trek through powder on your snowshoes, and it's highly breathable. Flat-lock seams eliminate irritating pressure points and make for smooth layering. When you wear this ultra lightweight vest as an outer layer, a reflective patch keeps you visible.

Bottom Line: Wind might as well pack up and go home when you wear the Mountain Hardwear Transition Featherweight Vest.

bad zipper

the transition featherweight vest would have been great, except the zipper, the one on the back pocket, broke the very first time i used it. the jacket wasn't cheap, it should have been better quality. i have bought mountain hardware before, never had this problem. if i had bought it locally i could've exchanged it. i am not happy.

The vest is amazing becuase it is so light and waterproof. The back of the vest vents heat so well and the pockets on the back of the vest are great. As a triathlete and a climber I would highly recommened this vest to anyone who is looking for a very light high performance vest.
