Mountain Hardwear Trad Backpack - 2050-2300cu in

Yosemite Valley, Indian Creek, Squamish, Joshua Tree. These are the places the Mountain Hardwear Trad Backpack feels at home. In addition to making a solid cragging pack, this top-loader does the trick for winter ski touring, overnight hikes, and international trekking.

  • Padded air mesh backpanel wicks moisture on hot days
  • Two zippered hip belt pockets for small essentials
  • Full-wrap compression straps hold everything from skis to a sleeping pad
  • Side zipper accesses main interior
  • Heavy-duty side ski loops hold your planks while you hike

Bottom Line: Trad is rad.

I'm not a very big guy, 5'6 135 pounds but i need a pack to fit all my trad gear in. Will this hold my rack and rope but yet not squash me too?

Is it durable?

Chase, as JC said there is nothing like all of your trad gear. That being said I can not fit my standard trad rack, rope, and days supplies in this pack. For what you want to do, size up to a 40 liter pack. Acteryx is pricy, but their sizing is great. You should be able to find a pack that will carry well, and fits a smaller sized torso. If you are still interested in this pack, hand the rope to your partner and then youll be good. Good climbing.

This is a great pack!! Super comfy and has good hard wearing 630d front, bottom and side panels. The side zip is nice for getting to gear without having to unpack. But if you want it just for alpine climbing you might want to get somthin a tad lighter..like the Supersrambler.
