Mountain Hardwear Torsion Glove

For spring ski tours, cruising to the coffee shop, or shoveling out the truck on a powder day, the Mountain Hardwear Torsion Glove is a perfect fit. This highly weather resistant softshell glove features stretchy Deflection fabric with a Conduit laminate to shed snow, ice, and slush. The tough, durable goatskin palm and index finger grips your poles, shovel, or après beers, and the articulated fit, brushed tricot lining, and flatlock seams provide a comfortable fit.

Bottom Line: A durable softshell glove for the winter work and play.

Anyone know if the new version has the same fit (i.e. the exact same fit) as the old version? I use my current ragged ass ones for ice climbing, so a few milimeters makes a difference.

Jeremy. The fit on these has improved from the old Torsion Gloves. Also you'll find the flat-lock seams on the palm side of the gloves makes it so the seams feel virtually invisible. Definitely a great update on already phenomenal gloves! Enjoy!

A Step Down from the previous version

I really like the previous version, these are a major disappointment. The earlier ones were comfortable from the first, the Pittards leather much superior to the Goatskin, and even the Conduit felt more flexible/stretchy on the old ones. In general, I think Mountain Hardwear de-contented this glove in it's latest version. I would not buy another pair and may return these.

The MHW site doesn't list these as having conduit. Do these have any waterproofing (beyond the leather palms) ?

BZ. These are not waterproof but we do use a Conduit Softshell fabric on the gloves. It is the same fabric that we use in the Synchro Jacket and the G50 Jacket. So, although they are not waterproof I have used them for ice climbing for a couple seasons. The goat skin palms really durable as well. Cheers!

Hey BZ. This glove is not waterproof. MHW is using either Conduit or OutDry in all their waterproof gloves this winter. So unless you see either of those technologies on the glove, it isn't waterproof.
