Mountain Hardwear Stronghold Tent 10-Person 4-Season

Aside from huddling together into an immovable steel box, the Mountain Hardwear Stronghold Tent is about as secure from the weather as your climbing party can get at high-altitude, bad weather basecamps. This 10-person dome tent features a floorless, double-wall construction for sorting gear, cooking meals, plotting summit bids, or even sleeping the entire expedition party.

  • Dome shape and 15 poles hold up to strong wind gusts
  • Internal guy system and bar-tacked stress points increase strength during mountain tempests
  • Two doors with two-way zippers give the group multiple entry points
  • 5 SVX weather windows let in light and allow you to check conditions
  • 10 mesh storage pockets keep gear neatly organized
  • 1 large top vent and multiple mesh perimeter vents for efficient air flow
  • Included expedition duffel bag stores tent for easy transport
  • External 400D snow flaps keep storms from blowing into the tent

Bottom Line: An indestructible shelter for the basecamp day-to-day.

If you mean... does this tent have a floor? Then the answer is no. Which is a good thing sometimes... especially for expeditions. Check out the Mountain Hardwear Satellite if you are looking for a BIG tent with a floor. Cheers!

This tent is the mutha f'in king man! The first time I used it was a trip to the desert for a land sailing event. While we were setting it up people told us tents come to the playa to die. 70 mph recorded winds and this thing barely moved. It already saved me 3 days hotel when another tent would have been shredded. Good thing it's rock solid because it's expensive as hell. When I was hiding in it avoid being sandblasted it seemed like one of the best investments I've ever made. Sell your kidney and get one, you'll never look back! I have some real world pics, here's one:

more in the gallery. I found it hard to find pics and reviews before selling all my possessions to afford one so check it out. It truly kicks ass.
